Good Tuesday! Hope your week is going well so far – we’re having Spring again. I see a green haze in the pastures – the weather is gorgeous. It’s like the little temper tantrum of the weekend never happened.

My card today is a Joy Fold card that showcases the beautiful Symbols of Fortune Specialty DSP and the coordinating Crane of Fortune Bundle from the Jan – Jun 2022 Mini Catalog! I love it in it’s serene colors. Take a look-see:
The layout and several elements and colors was inspired by the FUSION Challenge this week!
I started with a Smoky Slate card base – cut at 4 1/4″ x 8 and scored and folded at 2 1/2″ on the long side. The smaller card is Just Jade, cut at 3 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ and scored and folded at 4 1/4″. That’s really all it is – two cards sort of nestled one within the other! 🙂
I matted a piece of Symbols of Fortune Specialty DSP on Just Jade – a small piece for the front panel of the large card and a larger – different design – piece for the back of the card. I adhered both matted panels to their spots with Liquid Glue.
For the smaller – more decorated card – I placed a small piece of Basic White cardstock into my Stamparatus and then used Sponge Daubers to ink and stamp the pretty floral from Crane of Fortune. I used the Daubers to color the flowers in Pacific Point and the leaves in Just Jade. The Stamparatus lets you stamp multiple times in the same spot and get a perfect image!
I added the sweet little dragonflies from Crane of Fortune in Smoky Slate, then I matted the panel on Smoky Slate cardstock and adhered it to the front of the small Just Jade card base.
On a piece of Basic White, I used my Stamparatus and Sponge Daubers to stamp the crane from Crane of Fortune in Smoky Slate. Then I cut it with the die in the bundled Good Fortune Dies.
I cut a length of Just Jade & Gold 3/8″ Braided Ribbon and frayed the ends – sort of a lot! 🙂 Then I used Stampin’ Seal + to adhere it to the card front.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the die cut Crane over the ribbon. NOTE: be sure that the card base will still open – so..don’t extend him past the fold.
On a piece of Smoky Slate, I stamped the Crane of Fortune sentiment in Just Jade and cut it with the next-to-smallest rectangle in the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I popped the sentiment on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a gold Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dot and the small card front was done.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the small card to the back of the larger card – making sure to keep it opening the “right” way! Which is actually the…wrong way! 😉
For the inside of the smaller card, I stamped the Crane of Fortune sentiment in Just Jade on a Basic White panel. Then I placed it in the Stamparatus and used it to stamp the flower like I’d done on the front of the card, in Pacific Point and Just Jade. I also added the little Smoky Slate dragonflies cuz they’re so stinkin’ cute!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Just Jade mat and then into the small card and the card was done.
Now – you really COULD call it done here if you wanted or….you can do what I did. I added a decorated and Just-Jade-matted panel to the back to give some space for a message! I used the Stamparatus again – and didn’t add a sentiment!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Crane of Fortune flowers and dragonflies on the front…
…and more of the Symbols of Fortune Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Isn’t this such a pretty color combination? The Symbols of Fortune Specialty DSP is really gorgeous – with its quiet grays and pinks and gold foil embossing! Match it with the pretty sentiments and images in the coordinating Crane of Fortune stamp set and the fun die cuts in the bundled Good Fortune Dies and…you’re on your way to beautiful cards every time!

This pretty color – along with the other four 2020-2022 In Colors (Bumblebee 😔, Cinnamon Cider 😔, Misty Moonlight 😔, and Magenta Madness) will be leaving us soon!
