Stampin’ Up! All About Baby Encircled in Beauty

Good morning, everyone and welcome to another week!  Hope your weekend was productive and also relaxing!  Or…you know…whatever you needed it to be! 🙂

I think you guys remember that I’ve got friends who are expecting their first child soon – okay…November.  But still!  When I saw a cool color challenge that made me think “baby card” I decided it was a sign to get busy (November will be here in a heartbeat!)!  So – I pulled out my All For Baby stamp set with its bundled Baby’s Clothes Dies (that I bought when I learned they were pregnant!) and the Encircled in Beauty Dies to make my first baby card for them!  Take a look-see:

Here’s the Color Throwdown Challenge that triggered my baby-card-making mojo!

And then I used the sketch portion of the InspireBy Challenge!

I started with a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock and the polka-dot patterned mask from the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks and used it to add Soft Sea Foam dots to the cardstock using a Blender Brush.

I matted the panel on Blushing Bride for the card front.

I cut three Encircled in Beauty die cuts from Basic White and adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Notice that they spill over the edge of the card front – but NOT past the edge of the card BASE!

On Basic White, I stamped the two All For Baby onesies in Blushing Bride and cut them with their dies in the Baby’s Clothes die set.

I used the same Basic Decorative Patterns mask to color some Blushing Bride dots and then cut the bib from that decorated cardstock.

I also cut two Smoky Slate clothes hangers with the dies in the Baby’s Clothes dies (SOOO cute!) and adhered the onesies to them with Liquid Glue.

I adhered the sweet die cuts to the Encircled in Beauty die cuts with Liquid Glue.

I cut a Soft Sea Foam star and a Basic White heart with the dies in the die set and adhered them to the onesies with Liquid Glue – then added a Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the star.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere a length of Blushing Bride 3/8″ Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon to the card front.

On another piece of Basic White, I stamped an All For Baby sentiment in Smoky Slate and cut it with a Tasteful Labels die.  This is popped over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish off the card front!

On the inside, I stamped the polka dot onesie from All For Baby in Blushing Bride on a Basic White panel.  Over it, I added a second sentiment in Smoky Slate.  Then I stamped a few hearts in Soft Sea Foam, adding a Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewel to one of them.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Blushing Bride mat and into my Soft Sea Foam card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the onesie and a few stars on the front…

…and some more Soft Sea Foam masked-and-Blender Brushed polka dots on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Okay – so…I was thinking I’d maybe need to make a bunch of cards before I found one that would work – but…this one – in the soft colors with the sweet All For Baby sentiments and images, with the Baby’s Clothes die cuts (I say again…the CLOTHES HANGERS!! 🙂 ) – well, it’s making me very happy, indeed!  I love how the Encircled in Beauty die cuts frame the clothes in such a sweet and feminine way!

I hope you like!
