Good morning, all! How goes your week? Mine is going along – we’re awaiting the arrival of Fred today and tomorrow. Looks like we’ll see some rain – the track is going right over top of us! Wayne’s been doing dirt work like crazy to protect his new pad! I mostly hope it just cools down a bit! 🙂
My card today is a fun one (she says modestly!) that I created while on our Zoom the Craftroom yesterday! It features the In Your Words set (get this beauty FREE with a $300+ order or workshop during Sale-A-Bration) plus the Art in Bloom stamp set. And some awesome designer paper! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one (and the kitty!) were inspired by the FUSION challenge this week!
And the colors and flowers….from the Just Add Ink inspiration photo.
I started with a piece of woodgrain paper from the In Good Taste DSP that I matted on Cajun Craze for the card front.
I cut a strip of Pattern Party DSP (this is one you can get free as a Host Reward when you place an order – or host a workshop! – with a retail total of $180 or more!) that I colored with my Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze Stampin Blends Combos. Then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I matted another piece of the In Good Taste DSP on Cajun Craze and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
A Square Vellum Doily and a hexagonal Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack gold die cut were next – both adhered with Liquid Glue.
I tied a bow from two lengths of Very Vanilla twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
I cut out a cat from a third pattern of In Good Taste using the Cat Punch – and popped it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the sentiment from In Your Words in Cajun Craze on Crumb Cake. Then I cut it into a strip and bannerized the ends with my Paper Snips. I adhered the strip to the card front with Liquid Glue (on the left end) and Stampin’ Dimensionals (on the right end).
I added some Brushed Metallic Adhesive-backed Dots and the card front was done.
On the inside, I added a sentiment from the Art in Bloom stamp set to a Very Vanilla panel. I adhered a matted strip of the Pattern Party DSP across the bottom of the panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Cajun Craze mat and into my Crumb Cake card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the flowers from the Art in Bloom set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, colored with my Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Combos on the front…
…and some In Good Taste DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Okay. So I realized I’ve use TWO products that you can get for FREE! Cool beans, huh!? The Pattern Party DSP – from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog – is one of the Host-exclusive sets that you can “purchase” using Stampin’ Rewards! If you host a workshop – or place an individual order over $180 (before shipping & tax) – then this might be something you pick!
If that workshop or order is over $300 – then you will ALSO (automatically!!) get the In Your Words stamp set – this is a super cool special deal while Sale-A-Bration is going on! The In Good Taste DSP is a favorite of mine (and many of YOU, too!) from the annual catalog! Art in Bloom is a pretty set – with lovely flowers (that match the ones on the Pattern Party DSP) and sentiments!
I hope you like!
So..if you’d like to earn the In Good Words set AND the Pattern Party DSP for free – give me a holler! I’ll set you up with a personal Host Code – you and a few friends can get together and bump you over the top! Then – share the spoils!! 🙂

This is really a creative card with coloring the DSP and the layering. I love your cat…and your dog! I hope Fred is as kind to you as he was to me. We’ve had worse regular storms! I haven’t paid attention to what Grace is doing but I deported all my outside “spa” plants so I don’t have to carry them in and out. I’ll be posting pics on my blog when I get my card made…maybe tomorrow? Have a blessed day.
I hope Grace is…gracious to you all!! Fred has been a gentleman so far. Looking forward to your pictures! Thanks so much, Karen!!
Cute card! Love the mix of designer papers. Great layering too! Poor Finn…it’s so hard to be a good dog!! 🙂
Thanks! And yes – a water bottle is a powerful temptation, indeed! 🙂
Hope the storm does not do any damage to your property. We were blessed–only sprinkled for about 15 minutes.
I’m so glad to hear that, Sandi! Looking pretty good for us – the weather is moving on pretty quickly – thank you! 🙂
What a cute cat card! I love the way you colored the paper to match the challenge colors! Very nice!
Great restraint on Finnman’s part. He’s just a willing helper!
He is a helper, for sure! Thanks so much, Susan! 🙂
I saw this card, then saw the challenge, and thought: “Wow!” DSP that matches the rug in the challenge photo! Cool.”
Then I read your blog and realized you colored it to match the photo. Still cool! Great card.
What a great dog to be able to resist the temptation of a water bottle. Makes Mom proud.
LOL! I was shocked that the flowers looked so much like the flowers in the rug! 🙂 Thank you so much, Julie! 🙂
This is awesome, love your take on the sketch and that gorgeous Cat. Can’t believe you matched the flap too! Finn made me LOL. Poor guy, he’s really trying. Thanks for joining us at Fusion Challenge this time. Claire DT
He does try so hard – and is successful like…99.9% of the time! Thank you so much, Claire! 🙂
