Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer Sneak Peek Z-Fold Card with Video Tutorial

Good Friday morning!  I hope you’ve had a good week and are ready to wind down to the weekend!

I saw this fun fold over on our demonstrator Stampin’ Connection site – it was created by Diane Vander Galien – and I liked it so much that I reverse engineered it (using some printer paper!).  I decorated it using the sweet Peaceful Deer stamp set with its bundled Deer Builder Punch – coming next week in the Jul – Dec 2021 Mini Catalog.  And the gorgeous Peaceful Prints DSP – with it’s plaid designs – is perfect and will be…FREE with a $50+ purchase during Sale-A-Bration (3 Aug – 30 Sept).  Take a look-see:

Several elements on the card came from this week’s Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.  I hit the diagonal: Sparkle – Patterned Paper – Punch! 🙂

I started with a Basic Black card base, cut to 5 1/2″ x 9 3/4″.  Using my Simply Scored Board, I scored along the long side at 1 3/8″, 2 3/4″, 4 1/8″ and 5 1/2″.  I folded at the score lines: 1 3/8″ (Mountain), 2 3/4″ (Valley), 4 1/8″ (Mountain) and 5 1/2″ (Valley).

I also cut a 3″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Basic Black and scored/folded it at 2 1/4″.

I matted a couple of strips of the new Peaceful Prints DSP on Sahara Sand and adhered them to the narrow panels of the card base with Liquid Glue.  Peaceful Prints will be coming next week in the Sale-A-Bration flyer – which means it’s a FREE product – you can get it with a purchase of $50+ before shipping & Tax!

For the back (inner liner), I stamped a Peaceful Deer sentiment in Cherry Cobbler on Basic White.  Then I added some pines in Garden Green.  I matted the panel on Sahara Sand and adhered it to the inside back panel of the card base with Liquid Glue.

I matted two smaller pieces of Peaceful Prints DSP on Sahara Sand and adhered them to the smaller folded cardstock panel.

Using the Deer Builder Punch, I punched out a deer from a piece of the Peaceful Prints DSP.  Now – here’s something cool!  The Peaceful Prints DSP with the red buffalo plaid on one side – has punch-out-able plaid deer on the OTHER side!  In the video – the folks watching voted to use that punched DSP deer on the card – check it out! 🙂

For this sample card – I used the deer that I got from the OTHER side (all plaid – no border!).  I adhered it to the front of the small folded panel with Liquid Glue.

I tied a little bow from Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack and adhered it over the deer with a little dab of Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Peaceful Deer sentiment in Cherry Cobbler on Basic White and cut it with the smallest Stitched Rectangle Die – then popped it over the bow with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a Cherry Cobbler Holiday Rhinestone Jewel to complete the front.

To complete the card,  I used Liquid Glue to adhere the small panel to the back narrow panel (the one with no DSP) and then to the front narrow panel.  Check out the video at about 21: 15 if you want to see an easy way to get it done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more of the Peaceful Deer trees in Garden Green on the front…

…and more of the Cherry Cobbler plaid from Peaceful Prints DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I LOVE this bundle!  I’ve said a few times how much I love when I can get a die set or punch to cut images right from DSP – and this Deer Builder Punch does just that from the Peaceful Prints DSP – and the fact that this DSP will be FREE is just an added bonus!  I love the images in the bundled Peaceful Deer stamp set – including one deer with the sentiment inside it – that is also punch-able!  Whoo-hoo!
