Stampin’ Up! Love of Leaves Tower Pinwheel Fun Fold with Video Tutorial

Good morning!  I hope your weekend is going well!  We had a VERY good time last night – ate well, with good friends – and fun news!! 👶👶👶👼👼👼

So…if you were able to join me yesterday for my EARLY! Facebook Live video – I appreciate you spending part of your long weekend with me.  If not, but you’d like to watch the replay – here’s the link!

Several of my teammates had done this kind of card and posted it on our team page – but…it sort of bamboozled me.  I simply couldn’t see how it was done!  So… I went to the source of all knowledge.  The internet.  And found a few vids to watch.  Once I saw it – it all popped into place.  So…let me show YOU how easy this card is (but you don’t have to tell your friends.  Just smile modestly and…maybe look a little weary…when they exclaim over it!).

I decided to decorate mine using the cool Love of Leaves stamp set and coordinating Stitched Leaves die set – and some cool Pattern Party DSP (this is the huge pack of paper that you can get for free with an individual order or as host with a workshop hitting the $150 mark in retail!).  Take a look-see:

I started with a piece of Basic Black cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 5 3/4″.  Then, using the scoring blade on my Paper Trimmer, I scored along the long side at 3/4″, 1 1/2″, 2 1/4″ and 3″.

Then I folded at the score lines – and burnished – to create a little box – with a large flap still left over.  Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the little box together and to the leftover flap.  That is a LOT easier to show than to type – so…check the video – it’ll be near the start!

I cut three more pieces of Basic Black at 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ and used Liquid Glue to adhere one to each remaining face of the little box.

And…Boom!  Tower Pinwheel!

The “cake was made” – time to “frost” it!

I cut mats from Mango Melody – there are two sizes to cut – four of each.

Then I selected two coordinating designs from the Pattern Party DSP and used Liquid Glue to adhere them to all their mats and then to their panels on the card base.

I left two of the larger panels open for sentiments.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the first sentiment from Love of Leaves in Cajun Craze.  Then I inked the large leaf with Mango Melody, added Pumpkin Pie ink to the edges of all the petals with my Blending Brush – and stamped the panel in each corner.

I adhered the panel to a Mango Melody mat and then to its panel on the card base.

I did essentially the same for the second larger Basic White panel.  This time I inked a different leaf – and stamped it right over top of the sentiment.  Then I adhered it to its panel on the card base.

The final Love of Leaves sentiment is stamped in Cajun Craze on Basic White and cut out with a die from the Hippo & Friends Die set – then adhered to the DSP panel with Liquid Glue.

For the last panel – I cut out a Mango Melody Stitched Leaves die cut leaf.  Then I used my Blending Brush to add Mango Melody ink the edges of the leaf.  I adhered this to the last remaining large panel.

I tied a little Linen Thread bow and adhered it to the die cut leaf with a scrunched up Glue Dot.  Then I popped some Pumpkin Pie Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels here and there and this fun fold card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope  (yes – the card folds flat and fits in a regular A2 envelope!!) got the Love of Leaves image in Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie on the front…

…and a little more Pattern Party DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh boy!  I LOVE this Tower Pinwheel Fun Fold!  Looks soooo complicated – but…we know the secret now, right?!?  It’s harder deciding how to DECORATE it than it is to BUILD the base, right??  I love the Love of Leaves and the coordinating (but not bundled anymore!) Stitched Leaves Die set – so I’m really glad my eye hit upon it in my search for stamping inspiration!  AND – the Pattern Party DSP is amaze-balls!  Black and white on one side – with beautiful colors on the other – and you get 48 – 12″ x 12″ sheets.  For.  Free!  Ask me how to get hooked up!

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Dear Mom,

These are BOTH mine!

I see no reason to choose.  Or share.

Unless I’m in the mood.  Then we share.  Even if you are not.

Love, Finn.

And we’re all waiting on pins and needs to hear the gender and you’re keeping us in suspense! (I’m pulling one of each myself!) Nice of Finn to share when he’s in the mood!
