Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Expressions Birthday Card

Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day, y’all – hope all is well with you, wherever you’re reading this!

Guys – it’s the 9th of June.  That means there’s only a few more days to cash in on the Connect, Craft and Collect sale – where you can bump your Stampin’ Rewards up by a whopping $25!  But – you need to hurry – the special ends on the 14th!

My card today is a pretty floral birthday card from the gorgeous Artistically Inked Bundle and some Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP.    Take a look-see:

The layout – and birthday theme – is from the Inspired By challenge this week!

I started with a panel of Soft Sea Foam that I ran thru my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine in one of the Meadow Moments Embossing Folders.  I ran it thru twice to cover the entire panel, since this is a Mini Embossing Folder.  Then I matted the panel on Shaded Spruce for the card front.

I cut two strips of paper from the Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP, matted them on Shaded Spruce and adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

From a piece of Mango Melody paper in the Ombre Specialty DSP, I cut the large floral from the Artistic Die set.  Then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Artistically Inked sentiment in Shaded Spruce on a strip of Soft Sea Foam and snipped a banner in one end.  I cut a strip of Shaded Spruce, bannerized it, and adhered the sentiment to it with Liquid Glue.

I popped the sentiment over the die cut flower, then added some sequins from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used my Blending Brush to ink the large image in the Artistically Inked set in Just Jade and stamped it on the bottom of a Basic White panel.  Then I did the same again – this time with Shaded Spruce Ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Shaded Spruce mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Artistically Inked image in Just Jade across the front….

…and more of the Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love these painterly images in the Artistically Inked stamp set – and the big, bold floral in the Artistic Die set is just the beginning – it cuts the stamped flowers and leaves as well as stand-alone die cut leaves!  Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP is gorgeous – even the non-foiled sheets are lovely!

I hope you like!

Openings Available in Host Clubs Starting on 1 July!

How does it work?

A club consists of three folks doing two consecutive three-month terms.   Each person commits to buying $50 before shipping and tax each month.

You sign up for two consecutive 3-month terms and commit to:

  • A $50.00 minimum order each month
  • Placing your order by the 20th of each month
  • Using the Host code for each month that I send to you in an email at the beginning of each month

Here’s how it shakes out…this is just an example!  As you can see, each member gets to host TWICE during the six months!!

At the end of the club, I let each member select a stamp set up to $25 that I send to them for free.

What are the other bennies of a Host Club?

  • At least a $150.00 Workshop order during EACH of your host months!
  • Which means you’ll have at least $15.00 of Stampin’ Rewards dollars to spend on the exclusive Host Stamp Sets, or any other current Stampin’ Up! product during your host months.  Stampin’ Rewards are Stampin’ Up!-speak for “free money”!
  • You’ll earn DOUBLE PEPPERMINTS on your Host Club Orders.  Each $50 order earns 4 reward points, a $75 order earns you 6 reward points, etc. You’ll earn at least 24 reward points during your membership, meaning you’ll automatically earn at least ONE $40 Peppermint rewards gift!  (Remember – when you gather up 16 Peppermints, you get to select a free reward gift valued up to $40!).  You can get more info about my Punkin’ Heads Customer Rewards Program right here.
  • You’ll receive a FREE monthly tutorial with 4-5 projects and access to all previous tutorials for the duration of the club. Right now, there are over FIFTY tutorials available only to Online Host Club members.  That’s around TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY not-seen-on-our-blogs projects for you to use as inspiration (and they ALL have all the card cuts and instructions!)
  • Access to my Weekly Zoom The Craftroom online Zoom Party – where you can come craft and chat with me and other customers!
  • FREE catalogs during your membership term
  • FREE shipping in your TWO Host Months
  • A FREE STAMP SET of your choice valued up to $25 at the end of each “term”, any current set (excluding host sets)!
  • At the end of the full 6 months, you’ll get first dibs at signing up for the next 6 month term!

When you join the club – you’ll commit to the full six months – in two consecutive three-month increments.   This is a great time to join a club – with the new Annual Catalog, the pending August release of the 2021 Jul-Dec Mini Catalog and the second SALE-A-BRATION fixin’ to start in August, too!

Don’t delay – there are limited spaces available!

Finn Fan Fix

For those of you tuned in to the webcams at the Pet Paradise, you know that Finn spent a lot of time – a LOT – in the pool.

Which was awesome for him.

But…it’s NOT so great for long haired, double-coated Aussies – unless they go right to the grooming table after EVERY session.

Which – was not part of the service.

As a result – he is matted from stem to stern, tip to toe, top to bottom.  Outer coat tangles – undercoat mats.  Impenetrable.

So today – in theory – we are marching to the Puppy Tubs to do battle.

Behold….the Warrior and his Weapons!

Let’s be clear.  He is a reluctant warrior.  Looking for a way out.

But – the CINC has Voluntold him for the mission and we will prevail.

Maybe.  🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

  1. Poor Finn. Let us know how it turns out and how successful you are. It won’t be fun for him, but hopefully he will be happy with the end result!

    • stampsnlingers

HE isn’t bothered paeticulalry by the mats (I’m a FARM BOY, mom!!) but I hate them and know they’ll just get worse! 🙁 We didn’t get them out – but…we started on them. Will keep going slowly… Thanks, Barbara! 🙂

  2. Beautiful card. I love this bundle and only wish I had ordered the DSP. I thought I’d be creating my own with the stamps, faux watercoloring and gilding flakes. I haven’t tried yet but it does sound quite messy like Finn’s predicament! I can’t wait to see the “after” pics of his handsomeness. Good luck!

    • stampsnlingers

He LOOKS really great – pictures on Friday – but…the mats are still with us! 🙁 Time. Time. Time. And lots of easy brushing. Thanks so much, Karen – and yes, you should get this DSP – it’s gorgeous and much easier than making your own! 🙂

  3. Such a pretty card! The clean design is perfect! Poor Finn…he has no idea what he’s in for. Those look like weapons of war. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

I know – we have to pull out all the stops! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  4. Susan K

Gorgeous card! That beautiful die cut is worth the price of admission itself! Great take on the sketch too.
Good luck with getting the tangles out…and good luck to Finny to man-up for the ordeal!

    • stampsnlingers

He tried to be brave – and was a very good boy for us. We didn’t get the mats out – going to take a bunch of short sessions, I’m afraid! Thank you so much, Susan! 🙂

  5. Pat C.

Artistically Awesome card, Mary! I love the colors and the layout, will definitely CASE!
I hope Finn is squeaky clean and mat free by the time you’re reading this. Big job but ya gotta do what cha gotta do.

    • stampsnlingers

He IS squeaky clean – but…the mats are still with us. Going to take a lot of time and patience. 🙁 Thank you, Pat – happy CASEing! 🙂
