Stampin’ Up! Field of Flowers Thinking of You!

Good Monday morning, y’all!  Welcome to the work week! Hope you had a good Easter – we did some work around the place then had a good dinner with some of our Honeybaked Ham we’d frozen at Christmas, sweet potatoes from the Mealthy and collard greens from our garden!  First meal from the garden in 2021!  Whoo-hoo!  And – of course, I whipped us up a couple of deviled eggs.  Cuz…holiday dinner! 🙂

Today’s card features a really pretty stamp set – that is retiring (😢) soon – called Field of Flowers.  I tried my hand at another clean and simple card with it – take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

And the pretty color palette is from the Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge.

I started by placing a Very Vanilla panel into my Stamparatus.  On top of it – where it would be on the card – I placed a Stitched So Sweetly rectangle – also from Very Vanilla.  I held it in place with a little repositionable runner adhesive.

I first stamped the Field of Flowers sentiment in Highland Heather.

Next, I added the stem/leaves image in stamped off once Pear Pizzaz.  Then I stamped the flowers in So Saffron.  Notice that I let both hang off the edge of the die cut!

I picked up the die cut and stamped the leaves and flowers again on the card front itself.

Then I matted the panel on Highland Heather for the card front.

I used a piece of the Very Vanilla ribbon from the Forever Greenery Ribbon Combo Pack (ALSO retiring soon!) to wrap around the panel – securing it in back with Glue Dots.

I added the little Field of Flowers dragonfly in Highland Heather by the flower – then popped the die cut onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Field of Flowers sentiment in Highland Heather on a Very Vanilla panel.  Then I stamped the stems in Pear Pizzazz, the flowers in So Saffron and the little dragonfly in Highland Heather!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Highland Heather mat and into my Thick Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the Field of Flowers florals and dragonfly on the front…

…and I adhered some new Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP in So Saffron to the envelope flap.  Note:  this is one of the NEW designs from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog!

Et Voila!  Still not really my wheelhouse – had to keep turning away from my embellishment stash! – but…I DO love the Field of Flowers stamp set.

Field of Flowers – and it’s bundled Confetti Flowers Punch…

CONFETTI FLOWERS BORDER PUNCH

– are both retiring soon….like on 3 May! You can get that fun punch for just $9.20 – that’s 60% off!!). 🙂

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Finny had a good Easter.

It included a few rides in the truck – just around the place as we moved mulch – some time spend sleeping under the golf cart – some time spent sleeping in the house and…his Easter cookie!

Love your clean and simple card. What makes it special is the stamping with part of it behind the die cut. Just love it!!!
