Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a sketch challenge today and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

Now – it is ALSO Christmas Eve!  Which means that – naturally – I have a Valentine’s/Anniversary/Love/Friendship card to share with you today! LOL!  I figure me showing you how to make a Christmas card is a little like…closing the barn door after the horse has left!  I’m looking forward – with the new Forever & Always stamp set with its bundled Always Dies, and some pretty black-and-white DSP from the True Love DSP.  These will be available to you on 5 Jan in the Jan-Jun 2021 Mini Catalog.  Take a look-see:

I also played with the color challenge at The Spot!  My color is Rococo Rose!

I started with a piece of the new True Love DSP that I matted on Rococo Rose for the card front.

Next is a small panel of Whisper White, that I embossed in the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder, matted on Rococo Rose and then adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a seperate piece of Whisper White, I stamped the two flower images from Forever & Always in Tuxedo Black.  Then I cut them out with their matching dies in the Always Die set.  These will be bundled for an instant savings of 10%!  I also stamped four leaves and cut them out as well.

Using my Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends Combo, I colored the flowers.

A couple of the coolest dies in the Always Die set are the sentiments “Love” and “Always”.  Both words have a “shadow” die and an “outline” die.  I used the Love shadow die to cut a piece of Rococo Rose Foil – which is one of the three colors you’ll get in the Love You Always Foil Sheets.  I cut the outline die in Whisper White.  I used little dabs of Liquid Glue to adhere the two die cuts together

I also stamped the words “You More” from the set in Tuxedo Black on Whisper White and cut it with one of the label dies in the Always set.

I adhered the leaves and the two large flowers to the card front with Liquid Glue – then popped the smaller flower on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the two sentiment die cuts.

Finally, I added some cool Matte Black Dots (in the new catalog!) and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added the large flower in Tuxedo Black in the corner of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the flower on a sticky note and fussy cut it – then used that as a mask over the flower.  Then I stamped the two leaves in Tuxedo Black.  When I picked up the mask…I had my image!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Rococo Rose mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the Forever & Always flowers and leaves on the front (and then I stuck my sticky note mask in my stamp case for the next time!)…

…and a little more of the True Love DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Isn’t this flower and sentiment pretty?  I love the Forever & Always bundle – with sentiment dies (one of my favorite things!).

And the True Love DSP is stunning!  Straight black and white – color it with Stampin’ Blends, Markers, Brayer.  Or…leave it black and white like I did and pop some color in!
