Stampin’ Up! Quite Curvy Bundle Sneak Peek!

Good morning.  Happy first day of the week in Standard Daylight Time.

Let’s be clear.  I HATE Standard Time.

Hate.  It.

I got up at just after 5 yesterday.  Finn was still asleep – Katy was moving and griping at me.

Headed to the kitchen to make my coffee and realized…yes.  The clock by my bed is NOT one of those that changes automatically.  Which meant…yep.  It was a little after 4.

Grrrrrr.

At that point, I was truly up (not awake – but up) so…I just went on with it.  But – then Standard time struck again at feeding time.  Which we did in the DARK!

Hate.  It.

There.  Got that off my chest.

Now.  Let’s talk cards!  I’ve got a fun little sneak peek at the new Quite Curvy bundle – which you can get TOMORROW!!  Whoo-hoo!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches!

And the colors are from the Color Throwdown challenge.

I started by stamping one of the little bird images from Quite Curvy in Tuxedo Black – I stamped him 8 times – on Whisper White.  Then I stamped a second bird.  And then I cut them all out with the dies from the bundled Curvy Dies.

I stamped the pretty leaf garland in Tuxedo Black and cut it out as well – yes, there’s a die for that, too! 🙂

I colored the birds with my Stampin’ Blends – Crumb Cake Combo for the eight birds and Poppy Parade Combo for the single other-way-bird!

I colored the leaf garland with my Granny Apple Green Blends Combo and my Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker.

I adhered the elements onto a Whisper White panel.  As you can see – I popped the garland up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  For the birds – I did some with Liquid Glue and some with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On another piece of Whisper White, I stamped the sentiment from Quite Curvy in Poppy Parade and punched it with the Classic Label Punch.  It was too long, so I slid one end of the label back into the punch – from the back – and cut off the excess.

I popped the sentiment onto the garland with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I added a tiny Linen Thread bow with a Glue Dot.

I used the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend to color a small Rhinestone Basic Jewel, which I added to the sentiment and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second Quite Curvy sentiment in Poppy Parade to a Whisper White panel.  Above it, I added the bird image, and a small “sprig” from the set, in Tuxedo Black.  I colored the bird with the Poppy Parade Blends and used the Granny Apple Green Blends and Garden Green Marker for the sprigs.  Then I added another Granny Apple Green-colored Rhinestone.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Poppy Parade mat and into my Crumb Cake card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the bird and sprig on the front…

…and some Crumb Cake paper from the Neutrals 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  How adorable are these birds from Quite Curvy?  Three different little tweeters – with matching dies in the bundled Curvy Dies!  And then – there’s the curved sentiments and leaf garlands, too!  And the edge dies!  Yep – there’s a lot to love in this new bundle!!

I hope you like!  The Quite Curvy Bundle is just part of the Curvy Celebrations suite of goodies that are coming tomorrow – I know you’re excited for their arrival!  And – if you’d like to pick them up AND save a little cheddar – then check out my Special Bundles!!  The deets and an order form are down below! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix

This is Finn’s new thing.

He gets in his kennel at bed time – settles down right against the kennel wall and…

The hands.  The HANDS!  They kill me every time!

Seriously?  Have you ever seen such cute dog-hands?? 🙂

  1. I love waking up at 6 AM and having it almost light out. BUT, I don’t like evenings starting at 5 PM! Your card is sweet and so are Finn’s hands! When I saw the outside of the card, I knew exactly what the inside would be because of that one little bird being a different color and looking a different direction. Very clever…I like it, I love it, I want some more of it … lol. Have a blessed day!!

Since I get up at 5 – it’s dark regardless! 🙁 Then early darkness kills me! Thanks very much, Karen! 🙂

  2. Susan K

Totally cute take on that sketch. I mean almost as cute as Finny’s dog-hands. 😍

    • stampsnlingers

His dog-hands are pretty stinkin’ cute, aren’t they? Thanks so much, Susan! 🙂

  3. Such a cute card! Love the little birds. 🙂 Finn does have very “dainty” paw poses…except for when the paws are covered in muddy nastiness. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – for being as big as they are, he can be quite dainty! LOL! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  4. Carol Coffman

I love your card and can’t wait to make it! I thought it would be pretty to color the garland fall leaf colors
for this time of year. Also, I think Finn is very obedient by staying his prayers before he goes to sleep.
    Absolutely adorable!

    • stampsnlingers

Thank you so much, Carol. Oh yes! Would be SO pretty in Fall colors – thanks for the inspiration! 🙂

  5. So sweet! Love the one little red birdie standing out from all of the others. Thanks for joining us for this week’s Color Throwdown!

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks so much, Lori – appreciate you stopping by! 🙂

  6. Such a cute darling card! I love one red bird! It adds a wit on your card. Thank you for playing along with CC&S challenge!
