Good morning! Did y’all see the convergence? We went down into the arena where we had as clear a shot as there is (we’re sort of surrounded by trees). We saw the two planets pretty close together – but…the pair slipped down below our effective horizon around 7:30. I’ve seen photos online, but… we didn’t get to see it. The moon, on the other hand…the MOON! Oh my. We had the binoculars and…it was…just amazing. The detail I could see with just the nocs made me really think a telescope would be cool! 😉

Stampin’ Up!’s Whisper White Paper Products Are Retiring Forever!
In case you missed this in my blog post from earlier today, the Whisper White paper products are being discontinued and are only available while supplies last!
Stampin’ Up! does have a new Basic White that they’ll be offering as soon as their new supplier is able to get them the products. You can see more details about Basic White below!
Stampin’ Up! announced this information about Whisper White paper products:
Whisper White has been a Stampin’ Up! staple for so long. We love it and we know you love it, too. We are sad to announce that the supplier’s mill producing our Whisper White cardstock has permanently closed due to impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, we weren’t given much notice on this closure. This means that the technology unique to this particular supplier is now unavailable to us and we can no longer offer our Whisper White cardstock and related products, such as Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes. Please note that this won’t affect any of our other cardstocks, this only affects Whisper White.
We know Whisper White has a huge fan base; we’re big fans, too! And we are crushed that it’s going away. Even though this decision was out of our hands, rest assured that we jumped right into action to find the best replacement paper possible. We have dedicated many hours to source and test alternative cardstock options from several suppliers to find the perfect fit that still maintains the Stampin’ Up! quality you know and trust. We are happy to share that we have found a winner for our new cardstock, Basic White!
The quality of our new Basic White was thoroughly tested by our quality assurance and product teams. It also tested very well with demonstrators and concept artists who gave it a huge thumbs up. A catalog share gives you a chance to try a sample of all the new products in the catalog – and then you can see what you love and go back and purchase full packs of those goodies!
You’ll get to try a little bit of the beautiful new Designer Series Papers, specialty papers, cards & envelopes, and treat boxes, plus fun embellishments with one of my Catalog Shares! I’ll place our Shares order first jump out of the box on 5 Jan 21 and use expedited shipping so I get it back fast! Good morning and happy Friday! Another busy week has flown by – I DID finally start baking – yeah me! – so…SOME gifts will go out soon. I fear I’m going to have to GO TO A STORE – cuz….boy have I messed up the whole buy online thing! I’m still waiting for an order to arrive that was slated to come last Monday, so…. 🙄

There seems to be a spike in the need for sympathy cards right now, so…that’s what I did with this one. I started with a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set (from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog) and brought in some new goodies. The Heal Your Heartand A Touch of Ink stamp sets – available on 5 Jan 2021! Take a look-see:
I started with a piece of the Hydrangea Hill DSP – the striped Highland Heather design – and stamped all over it with the flower image in the A Touch of Ink stamp set. I stamped the flowers in stamped-off-once Highland Heather to get a more subtle tone-on-tone look.
Then I matted the panel on Seaside Spray for the card front.
I cut another piece of the Hydrangea Hill DSP and a piece of Whisper White to 2″ x 4 3/8″. I punched the tops of both strips with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch – and rounded the bottom corners with the corner-rounder on the Detailed Trio Punch.
I created the “mat” look by cutting the Whisper White tag in half length-wise and then adhering each side to the back of the DSP strip with Liquid Glue – leaving a little white border.
Then I popped the matted tag onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I trimmed a Square Vellum Doily down a bit with my Paper Snips and adhered it to the tag with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the sentiment from Peaceful Momentsin Gorgeous Grape ink and cut it out with a Tasteful Labels die. Then I adhered it to the tag with Liquid Glue.
On another piece of Whisper White, I stamped the hummingbird outline from A Touch of Ink in Seaside Spray ink. To color him, I inked the fill stamp in Seaside Spray – stamped it off once on scrap paper – and stamped it over the image. Then I fussy cut the little bird.
I used Stampin’ Dimensionals and Liquid Glue to adhere him – then I brushed him all over with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.
I tied a bow with some new Gorgeous Grape 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon (available 5 Jan 21) and added it at the top of the tag with a Glue Dot.
A Seaside Spray pearl from the new Pastel Pearls (coming on 5 Jan 2021) on the sentiment tag finished off the card front.
On the inside, I stamped a sentiment – one of my favorites! – from the Heal Your Heart set in Gorgeous Grape on a Whisper White panel. Over that, in stamped-off-TWICE Highland Heather – I stamped the A Touch of Ink flower that I’d used on the front of the card.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Seaside Spray mat and into my Gorgeous Grape card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the A Touch of Ink flower on the front in full strength Highland Heather ink….
…and more of the Hydrangea Hill DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Love that both the A Touch of Ink AND Heal Your Heart stamp sets will be available for FREE in the 2021 Sale-A-Bration Flyer! They’re both wonderful!
And the Hydrangea Hill DSP is just….stunning!

Finn Fan Fix
So – the other day, I pulled some homemade Sourdough Pancakes out of the freezer and re-heated them in the toaster oven for Wayne. I made about one-too-many but I figured if he didn’t finish them – I could have a bite or two of pancake. With a little warm real maple syrup.
Seemed like a fine plan.
He sat down to eat and I worked on my morning blog posting routine.
Soon, as expected, he started to say he had too much food.
I musta been a little slow on the uptake – cuz before I could say….”I’ll eat them”…..

So…being that this was my first go with the Suit & Tie Dies, I used the samples in the Mini Catalog to help me design my bespoke suit!
I first cut a piece of the Well Suited DSP in a quiet Basic Gray pinstrip to the size of my card front (3 3/4″ x 5″). Then, using the “V” die in Suite & Ties – I cut out the front of the suit.
I adhered the “suit” to a piece of Whisper White cardstock – making sure to NOT use any Liquid Glue around the bottom of the “V”. Then I adhered the whole thing to a Night of Navy and a Pacific Point mat.
I stamped a tie image in Night of Navy on Pacific Point and cut it with the die in the Suite & Tie set.
And – I cut a “shirt collar” in Whisper White.
I slid the end of the tie into the bottom of the “V” behind the DSP and adhered it to the piece of Whisper White. Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the collar on – making sure the top of the tie was tucked in.
I used the Suit-collar die and cut another piece of the Basic Gray pinstripe Well Suited DSP and popped that in place with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I decided a button was in order, so I cut one from Night of Navy with the die in the set and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
I stamped the Handsomely Suited sentiment in Night of Navy on a piece of Whisper White and punched it with the Tailored Tag Punch.
Sorry. Had to do it!
I added some “faux stitches” with my Pacific Point Stampin’ Write Marker.
I used the little “pocket” die in the Suit & Tie Dies to cut two flowery pockets, which I adhered – pointy ends up – to the back of the Tailored Tag sentiment. Then I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Tip: as I look at the picture above – I can just see the Dimensional under the suit collar. When you make this card – use Black Stampin’ Dimensionals! 😉
I added a few Misty Moonlight 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots – one to the sentiment and one to the tie (like a tie tack) and the card front was done!
On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Handsomely Suited in Night of Navy ink to a Whisper White panel. Then I stamped a line of ties across the bottom – alternating between Night of Navy and Pacific Point.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to Night of Navy and Pacific Point mats and into my Basic Gray card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more of the ties across the front…
…and a little of the flowery Well Suited DSP on the envelope flap.

I love love love the papers in the Well Suited DSP! The colors are great – and the designs are perfectly suited (sorry. not sorry) for the tie dies in the bundle!

Well – we’re home and it’s Monday! What a weekend it was – from storm to gorgeous in just a few days. Thankfully, the gorgeous happened FOR the wedding! 🙂 Which was also gorgeous!
My card today is my version of one we did at our virtual OnStage event – the Stamp & Share Experience! We got all the card cuts ahead of time and were ready to stamp “together” with one of the SU! head office folks! As we worked, I sort of modified the basic card to be more my style.
