Stampin’ Up! Plaid Autumn Goodness for the Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a theme challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

Okay – I realized as I was starting to write this that I used the Plaid Tidings for LAST week’s challenge.  And I’ve used it again today!  All I can say is…the THEME is PLAID.  What was I supposed to do!?  And I love this paper anyway so….Sorry not sorry!  I added some Autumn Goodness and an Autumn Essentials die cut pumpkin to my plaid this week.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our challenge badge!

The layout for this one is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

And I played along with the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge, too!  I went across the top!

I started with some Plaid Tidings DSP (duh!) that I matted on Blackberry Bliss to make the card front.  Then I used Stampin’ Seal and a couple of Glue Dots to secure a piece of 3/8″ Embroidered Ribbon onto the card front.

Next, I cut a Rectangle Stitched Die from a piece of Very Vanilla.

I stamped the pretty pumpkin patch image in Early Espresso in the corner of the rectangle.

Using my Pumpkin Pie (pumpkins), So Saffron (gourds) and Crumb Cake (leaves and stems) Stampin’ Blend Combos and the light Mango Melody Blend (corn) – I colored the image.

I stamped the Autumn Goodness sentiment in Blackberry Bliss.

I laid the rectangle in place on the card front and used it to determine where to adhere a Gold Hoop Embellishment with a Glue Dot.  Then I popped the sentiment panel over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I made a figure-8 “bow” with several loops of Linen Thread and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

I cut a small solid Pumpkin Pie pumpkin using a die in the Autumn Essentials set and the matching detailed die from bronze Brushed Metallic card stock.

I colored the solid pumpkin with the Light Pumpkin Pie Blend and adhered the detailed pumpkin over top with Liquid Glue.

I brushed the pumpkin with Clear Wink of Stella and popped it atop the bow with a couple of double-stacked Dimensionals – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Autumn Goodness sentiment in Blackberry Bliss on Very Vanilla.  Then I added the wheat sheaf image in Bumble Bee.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Blackberry Bliss mat and into my Pumpkin Pie card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the Autumn Goodness wheat in Bumble Bee on the front…

….and added a little more Plaid Tidings DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The images in the Autumn Goodness stamp set are so perfectly sketched and just “right” for all your Autumn projects.  The detail in the images is amazing – and just a little simple coloring brings them to life!

And I love the dies in the Autumn Essentials set – I’m a sucker for two-piece pumpkins!

I hope you like!
