Stampin’ Up! Curvy Christmas Sneak Peek with Video Tutorial to Make Quick Christmas Cards !

Well – it’s happened again, y’all!  Another week has gone by in a blink! Yikes!  I realized today that there’s like…two months until Christmas.  Okay – a little over that but…you know what I’m saying!  The Post Office is saying the shipping deadline for packages is 15 Dec for ground shipping.  And 18 December for greeting cards!  If the year keeps going as it has been – that’s like…tomorrow! 😉

If you were able to join me yesterday for my YouTube live, I appreciate you spending some time with me – if not, but you’d like to see the replay, here ’tis! 🙂

This card – which uses the soon-to-be-available (but only for a LIMITED time!) Curvy Christmas stamp set – is the PERFECT solution for your Christmas card-sending needs this year!  I promise!  I stamped four images onto Very Vanilla card stock and added some Gold Cards & Envelopes and bing-bada-boom….Christmas Cards in a Hot Second!  Take a look-see:

The real workhorse on this card is….your Stamparatus!  It allows you to set up the four stamps from the Curvy Christmas set – two images and two sentiments – using both acrylic plates.  That way – you just put your cardstock on the platform – ink your stamp – stamp your stamp – next!  Easy Peasy!

The tutorial video is pretty short – and in it I show you how to how to set your Stamparatus up to make quick work of your card making!

I stamped all my card fronts first – first with the tree-line image in Shaded Spruce, then with the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler – using the Stamparatus.

I put the two little star images from Curvy Christmas on a block and stamped them next to each sentiment in Bumble Bee.

Once I’d finished all my card fronts, I turned my stamping plates over and started on the inner liners!

I stamped a second image – the swoopy stars – in Bumble Bee on Very Vanilla panels.  Then I added a second sentiment in Cherry Cobbler.

I adhered the inner liner into my card base (from the Gold Cards & Envelopes) with Stampin’ Seal and used Dimensionals to pop my card fronts on – and…yep.  Done!

I didn’t have do a thing to the already-gorgeous Gold Envelopes!

Once I got everything set up and in place, each card took about five minutes to make!

Et Voila!  Four elegant – clean – and super easy Christmas cards ready to go!  They’re almost a single-layer card – and they weigh around half-an-ounce.  So – one postage-stamp perfection!

Let me ask you – are you kind of tired of buying grocery store packs of Christmas cards?  Mass produced and not even sort of personal or unique?  Well – let’s make 2020 the year you make your own!

Let’s do a little math (don’t be scared – it’s easy!).  Assuming you have the three Classic Ink pads (Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, and Bumble Bee), the Stamparatus and adhesives – then here’s the cost breakdown:

  • Gold Cards & Envelopes: $10 for 10 cards & envelopes
  • Very Vanilla Card Stock:  one sheet will make 2 cards.  One sheet costs about $0.24 so each card use $0.12 worth of Very Vanilla card stock
  • Curvy Christmas Stamp set: $21

So – 10 beautiful (and all yours!) Christmas cards for $32.20.  That’s $3.22 a piece for your first 10 cards.

After that – you’re just paying for the additional Gold Cards & Envelopes and Very Vanilla cardstock.  Each additional card would cost about $1.12 to make (one card & envelope plus 1/2 sheet of cardstock).

Whew – made it thru the math.  I think.  I…hope?  If you see a fault in my math – let me know, okay?? 😉

  1. Sweet cards! Love the clean design, the gold foiling on the card bases is perfect! Yep…I have no idea why Finn is so attentive in the photo… 😉

    • stampsnlingers

      No – it’s a mystery for sure. 😉 Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  2. I was totally surprised by your CAS abilities. The Stamparatus is a must have for any stamper. I have two plus extra plates! I got them for classes (which have gone by the wayside for now) and I use them both for moi! Poor Wayne…good thing he doesn’t cave under that heart melting “please Dad!” pose.

    • stampsnlingers

Oh – but he does. He really really does. Which is WHY the heart melting eyes are aimed at HIM and not at ME! LOL! Yes – I do love my Stampapotamus!! Thanks so much, Karen! 🙂

  3. Sue Floyd

Love the new curvy celebration bundle. Just ordered & can’t wait to CASE your design! That photo of Finn is another one for the fan club! Just love that boy!
    Thanks as always for sharing!
Funny you should mention how close Christmas is….every time your Thursday blog hop rolls around I say…Is it Thursday already? Time flies!
Hope your weekend is great Mary. I hope to get some gardening & paper crafting in.
Take care & hugs to Finn.

I tend to mark time by Fridays – usually that’s the day of the week my housecleaner comes so we’re always scurrying around to do the pre-tidy. I feel like our life is ticking away Friday to Friday… LOL! And yes – it’s a great set and you’re going to love it! Happy CASEing! Finn…he’s a character, for certain sure! Thanks, Sue! 🙂

  4. Tracy jacobs

This set was intimidating when I 1st got it. You make it look so easy & beautiful. Love that you paired it with the Gold cards & envelopes!

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks, Tracy – I think it’s going to be fun to play with! 🙂
