Stampin’ Up! Birthday Bonanza Buddies for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Birthdays!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I went back to the uber-cute Bonanza Buddies bundle with the fun Birthday Bonanza DSP for my offering today.  Take a look-see:

Along with our theme challenge, I borrowed a layout from this week’s Sunday Stamps challenge.

I started with a toucan-strewn paper from the Birthday Bonanza DSP and matted it on Bermuda Bay for the card front.  Then I adhered a smaller piece, also matted on Bermuda Bay.

For the tags, I cut 2″ x 4″ pieces of the Birthday Bonanza DSP and one of Whisper White.  Then I punched the bottom with the Banner Triple Punch and the top with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.

So…let’s take a pause right here.  If you’re looking at the Bonanza Dies, you MIGHT be asking why-oh-why, Mary?  Why didn’t you use the TAG DIE?!?

And that’s valid.  And my answer?

Uhm….I’m goofy?? 😉

If you make this card, you can absolutely use that very die.  OR – you can use the two punches.  EITHER will make a totes-adorbs card!

Okay – on with our show.

I adhered the DSP tag to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On the white tag, I stamped a Bonanza Buddies sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink.  Above that, I stamped the toucan in Tuxedo Black.  I colored his beak with my Terracotta Tile, Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Markers.

I stamped a party hat in Terracotta Tile on a second piece of Whisper White and cut it with the matching die in the Bonanza Dies.

I ran two pieces of So Saffron twine from the Metallic Baker’s Twine & Sequins Combo Pack (a $50 Level 1 SAB Reward) thru the top of the tag and tied a double-length bow around it.  Then I popped the tag onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added the party hat with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Using Liquid Glue, I added some sequins from the Combo Pack – and a tiny Bermuda Bay Pompom atop the party hat and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second Bonanza Buddies sentiment in Bermuda Bay to a Whisper White panel.  I added a Terracotta Tile party hat (complete with Bermuda Bay Pompom).  In the corner, I stamped a stack of presents – using 2 sticky note masks.  Here’s the order:

1. Stamp the Terracotta Tile present.
2. Stamp the Bermuda Bay ribbon onto the present.
3. Cover it with the mask.
4. Stamp the Daffodil Delight present.
5. Stamp the Terracotta Tile ribbon onto the Daffodil Delight gift
6. Cover the Daffodil Delight gift with a mask.
7. Stamp the vertical Bermuda Bay gift.
8. Stamp the Terracotta Tile ribbon onto the Bermuda Bay gift
9. Remove all the masks

I added a few Sequins around the gifts with Liquid Glue.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bermuda Bay mat and into my Mango Melody card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another stack of Bonanza Buddies presents on the front…

…and I added a little more of the Birthday Bonanza DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  These little critters in the Bonanza Buddies stamp set – with the handy Bonanza Dies to cut them all out! – is seriously cute and perfect for creating birthday cards!!  I hope you like!
