Stampin’ Up! Detailed Band Together Birthday Card

Happy Sunday, y’all!  How goes the weekend?

If you were able to join me last night for my Facebook Live video, I appreciate you spending part of your weekend with me!  If not, but you’d like to see the replay – which…includes a pretty extensive sneak peek at the goodies in the 2019 Holiday Catalog! – here’s the instant-ish replay!

For this one, I used the Band Together stamp set and bundled Detailed Bands Dies (you’ll save 10% by buying them as a bundle!!) to make a cheerful and feminine birthday card.  Take a look-see:

I played along with this week’s CAS Colour’s & Sketches Double Challenge – has to use the colors and the sketch!

I started with a panel of Mint Macaron and stamped the big flower from the Band Together stamp set in Mint Macaron a couple of times.  Then I ran it thru the die cutting machine in the Subtle 3D Folder.

I cut it down to size and matted it on Shaded Spruce for the card front.

Using the Detailed Bands Dies, I cut some Mint Macaron and Shaded Spruce leaves.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped just the flower (three times) and some leaves in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  When they were all good and dry, I cut them out with their matching dies in the Detailed Bands set.

I used Light and Dark Rococo Rose and Light and Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends to color the flowers and leaves.TTFN

Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere everything onto the card front.

For the sentiment, I cut the band from a piece of Mint Macaron using the die in the Detailed Bands set.  I saved the largest cut-out piece.  Then I adhered the band to another piece of Mint Macaron with Liquid Glue and fussy cut it (to create a solid band).  Then I used a little more Liquid Glue to adhere the large cut-out piece back into the middle of the die.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the band onto the card front – wrapped the ends around and secured them on the back with Glue Dots.

I stamped the sentiment from Band Together in Rococo Rose on a piece of Whisper White and cut it with the oval die in Detailed Bands.  Then I used my Rococo Rose Stampin’ Write Marker to make faux stitches.

I adhered the sentiment with Liquid Glue and adhered a tiny Linen Thread Bow and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Band Together in Rococo Rose on a Whisper White panel.  Then I inked the large flower in Mint Macaron, stamped it off once, and stamped it in the corner of the panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Shaded Spruce mat and into my Rococo Rose card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a couple of stamped-off-once Mint Macaron flowers on the front…

…and another one on the back of the envelope (I used my Mint Macaron Stampin’ Write Marker to fill in the “gaps” between the envelope and the flap!)

Et Voila!  Isnt’ this a pretty bundle?  Band Together – with its big, bold flower and handy leaves, plus the wonderful sentiments – pairs perfectly with the delicate die cuts in the Detailed Bands Die set!  I love the possibilities!  Hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

The Finn-ster yielded his spot today so that I could share a couple of pictures of one of my favorite people!

I met this young man almost a year ago.

The Big Ginger guy – one of my OTHER favorite people – is his Dad.  Mom – who took the pic – well – yep.  Another favorite person. 🙂

Fair to say that this is one of my favorite families – ever!!

So – this past week, while we were in Huntsville, we were lucky enough to catch them all at home – so…we invaded!

Little Ginger was teething and yet…barely a frown!  One of the happiest tiny humans I’ve ever met, really!  I got to spend about an hour with him in my lap and rocking him – and it was pretty danged nice, to tell you the truth!

The next day, while we were waiting for the “here’s-some-food-now-get-out-and-let-us-get-back-to-making-the-world-safe-for-democracy” event, I found something that simply had to go to the Little Ginger Man.

I do believe he liked it!

Is he not ridiculously cute??

Little Ginger Man hit the lottery in the gene game.  He’s going to be a very handsome gentleman.  AND – with his parents help, he’s going to be a real gentleman, in every sense of the word – his daddy most surely is!  And his mom – well.  She’s wunnermus and I’m so happy to call her my friend – and she’s raising her little man just right!

Can’t wait to watch him grow! 🙂
