Stampin’ Up! Needlepoint Nook for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a sketch challenge – the first one of 2019 AND the first with the 2019 Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs LIVE!!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop.

I pulled out one of my favorites – the Needle & Thread Stamp set, bundled with the Needlepoint Elements Framelits.  Then I threw in a sentiment from the new Well Written Framelits and a some pretty Designer Series Paper.  Take a look-see:

…and here’s our sketch for today!

I started by cutting a piece of the Needlepoint Nook DSP with the largest die in the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits, then I matted it on Balmy Blue for the card front.

Next is a piece of Gingham Gala DSP, also matted on Balmy Blue, then adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the flourish image from the Needle & Thread stamp set in Balmy Blue.  I stamped it twice – turning the stamp upside down for the second image.  Then I cut it out with an oval Stitched Shapes Framelits die.

With some Glue Dots, I wound two lengths of ribbon from the new Organdy Ribbon Pack (a 5-ribbon set that is FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration).  These are Balmy Blue and Highland Heather.

I stamped a sentiment from Needle & Thread in Highland Heather on Whisper White and cut it with the label die in Needlepoint Elements.  Then I adhered it to the oval with Liquid Glue.

With the new Well Written Framelits I cut a sentiment word- twice – from Daffodil Delight.  I used Liquid Glue to stack the two die cuts and then to add them to the card.  I popped the whole thing on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finally – I added a Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequin and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Needle & Thread in Highland Heather on a Whisper White panel.  Then I used the stitch die in Needlepoint Elements to cut a pretty design around the sentiment.  I stamped a single butterfly from Needle & Thread in Balmy Blue and added another Gingham Gala sequin.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Balmy Blue mat and into my Daffodil Delight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Balmy Blue butterflies across the front…

…and then added a little more Gingham Gala DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Look how wonderfully these different stamp sets, dies, Designer Papers and Embellishments work together!  Needlepoint Nook is a great starting point – with its wonderful sentiments and images – not to mention the “stitching” dies!  I sure hope this one is on your list!
