Stampin’ Up! Happiness Surrounds Needlepoint Nook

Good morning, y’all!  Here we are – on Friday again!  On the edge of another weekend.  And…on the brink of….Christmas!  25 days.

Twenty.

Five.

Days.

That’s not a lot of days, y’all!!

Oh – and another thing we’re on the brink of today.  Today is the last day before the forever-disappearance of the wonderful Snowflake Showcase!  We already witnessed the demise of the White Velvet Paper.  Now – the rest of this suite is almost gone. 🙁

I thought I’d give you one last look at this suite – focusing on the non-Christmas stamp set – Happiness Surrounds.  And I added it to a little new Needlepoint Nook and Gingham Gala DSPs (which you’ll be able to get on 3 Jan 19). Take a look-see:

This super-clean design is from this week’s sketch challenge at The Paper Players.

I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock that I embossed in the Basketweave Dynamic TIEF and matted on a piece of Highland Heather with some Liquid Glue for the card front.

I matted two strips of DSP on Highland Heather card stock.  One is a Balmy Blue plaid from the Gingham Gala 6″ x 6″ DSP and the other is one of my favorite designs in the Needlepoint Nook DSP.  These I adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

For the sentiment panel, I added the Happiness Surrounds sentiment in Highland Heather to the bottom of a Whisper White square.  Above that, I added two flowers from Happiness Surrounds – one in Highland Heather and the smaller in Balmy Blue.

I matted the square on Highland Heather and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

In the middle of the flower, with a Glue Dot, I added a little tiny button from the Needlepoint Nook Mini Buttons (coming on 3 Jan 19 in the Occasions catalog).  Then I tied a small bow from Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine and added it with a scrunched up Glue Dot – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I went old school and added a Highland Heather-matted strip of the Needlepoint Nook DSP across the bottom of a Whisper White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Highland Heather mat and into my Balmy Blue card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Happiness Surrounds flower on the front…

…and I added more of the Needlepoint Nook DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Happiness Surrounds is such a versatile set – you’ll be able to make cards for nearly any occasion!  And you’re going to love the new Designer Papers in the 2019 Occasions Catalog!  Hope you like!
