Stampin’ Up! Daisies and Flirty Flowers for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!

Good mornin’, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month it’s Celebrate Spring!!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!  Speaking of – help me welcome Shirley Gentry and Nanette Tracy to the hop this week! 🙂

I decided to go flower-y for Spring! To that end, I dove into my stash of Delightful Daisy DSP and pulled out the so-pretty Flirty Flowers stamp set from the Annual Catalog!  Take a look-see:

I borrowed from the Wednesday Sketch Challenge at My Favorite Things for the layout.

I started with some pretty paper from the Delightful Daisy DSP, Fast Fuse’d on a Daffodil Delight mat for the card front.

My art work, from Flirty Flowers, is inked using the marker-to-rubber technique (color the elements of the stamp with your Stampin’ Write Markers to get multiple colors in one stamped image!) – with my Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive markers.  I stamped it on a rectangle of Whisper White and matted it on Daffodil Delight.

I cut a circle from another piece of Delightful Daisy with a Stitched Shapes Framelits die and adhered it with Liquid Glue directly to the card front.

I wrapped a length of Night of Navy 5/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around the card front and tied a bow slightly off to the side.  Then I popped the matted art panel over it all with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My sentiment, from Flirty Flowers, is stamped in Night of Navy on a piece of Whisper White and cut with my 1 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch.  I cut a 1 1/2″ Circle Punch mat from Daffodil Delight and popped the sentiment onto it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I popped that whole thing on with Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional.

To finish off, I nestled a Gold Faceted Gem in behind the bow and added some Daffodil Delight Enamel Shapes.

On the inside, I used my Markers again to color another flower image from the Flirty Flowers stamp set and added it in the corner of a Whisper White panel.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Daffodil Delight mat and into my Old Olive card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another of the Flirty Flowers flowers on the front…

…and a little Delightful Daisy DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Spring-on-a-Card! 🙂  And quick and easy thanks to some beautiful and – dare I say…Delightful!?! ;)…designer paper and the lovely little Flirty Flowers stamp set.  Hope you like!

  1. Really pretty card – gotta love that daisy paper!

  2. Delightful! That little gold faceted gem just adds a little sumpin’ sumpin’ to an already wonderful card.

  3. So pretty Mary! The colors that you used are just perfect for spring, love the flower image too! 🙂

  4. Ohhh Pretty and all in my favorite colors!!! Very pretty!!!

  5. Beautiful! Love all the elements of this card, and your colors. You didn’t mention that you colored some of the flowers in the Navy paper. You did do that, didn’t you? I haven’t looked, but if I recall, it is just Navy and white. Well done!

    • Huh – I totally forgot to mention that – I’ll go back and update, cuz…yep. Sure did! Good eye! Thanks so much, Julie! 🙂

  6. What a fun layout and I love the colors/DSP you used – So springy!
