Stampin’ Up! Hello Easter in Springtime for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! It’s sketch week and we’ve got a couple new ladies-who-hop…. so be sure to check out all their projects when you’re done here, won’t you?  I decided to use some more of the Springtime Foils Specialty DSP – shocker! – today and paired it with a yet-to-be-inked stamp set called Hello Easter.  Guess what kind of card I made?!

Go ahead.

Guess.  Then take a look-see:

And…here’s the sketch!

I started with a leaf-strewn design in the new Springtime Foils Specialty DSP and colored the silver-embossed leaves with my Dark and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends, then Fast Fuse’d it to a Powder Pink mat for the card front.

I cut two banners –  2″ wide strips of Vellum card stock and one of Old Olive – by bannerizing them with my Banner Triple Punch.  I embossed both banners in my Layered Leaves Dynamic TIEF and then adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

My layered bunny-art started with a piece of Very Vanilla cut with a Stitched Shapes Circle die.  I heat embossed the Hello Easter bunny in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Then I surrounded him with Powder Pink flowers – yep, that’s a cute little image in the same set!  With my Circles Layering Framelits, I cut a Vellum card stock and Powder Pink card stock scalloped circle.  I adhered those together with Liquid Glue and then popped my bunny on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stuck that on sort of to the side – to make a slightly egg-shaped “circle”.

I used a Glue Dot to adhere a few loops of Gold Metallic Thread to the card front.  With my Leaf Punch, I cut a few Old Olive/Silver striped leaves from the Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP and a few from Vellum card stock.  Then I stuck them onto the card front with Liquid Glue.  Over that, I adhered the stacked bunny circle with more Liquid Glue.  The sentiment, from Happy Easter, is stamped in Old Olive on Very Vanilla and edged with my Powder Pink Stampin’ Write Marker.  I adhered it with some Liquid Glue and a couple of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The embellishment is a Bille Moan bow tied from Very Vanilla Solid Baker’s Twine and adhered with a Glue Dot.  On the center, I added a Touches of Nature Elements flower with another Glue Dot and a gold Metallic Enamel Shape.

On the inside, I added some branches and flowers from the the Hello Easter stamp set in Old Olive and Powder Pink on a Very Vanilla panel.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Powder Pink mat and into my Old Olive card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more of the Hello Easter branches and flowers across the front…

….and more Springtime Foils Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Another entry in the Mary-Loves-the-Springtime-Foils-Specialty-DSP saga.  And it’s the perfect Spring-y foil for the Hello Easter stamp set – cuz…Easter is pretty darned Spring-y!!  Hope you like!

  1. That is about the cutest little bunny card that I’ve ever seen! Love design and the spring colors. Perfect! 🙂

  2. Such springtime colors are quite welcome even though I live where it’s always spring but mostly summer. I love bunnies and this one is no exception. Glad he decided to hop along with you. I must order two packages of that DSP! Thanks for the warm welcome.

What a cute card. I’m ready for spring but hard to believe its time for Easter already! Love the way you offset the scalloped circles and that little bit peeking out underneath the sentiment
