Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic Go To Greetings for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is “Birthdays”!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I pulled out the pretty and exclectic Season of Chic bundle with the gorgeous Textured Chic Specialty DSP for this one – and selected the Go To Greetings set for my sentiment.  Take a look-see:

The Textured Chic Specialty Paper truly does all the work on this card – which makes it super easy to put together, so…buckle up! 🙂

I started by adhering a piece of the DSP to the front of an Evening Evergreen card base.

Next is a piece of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper, matted on Petal Pink and adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Then I matted another piece of Texture Chic Specialty DSP on Petal Pink and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Evening Evergreen paper from the Texture Chic Specialty DSP, I stamped a Go To Greetings sentiment in Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heated it up with my Heat Tool.

When the melted embossing powder had cooled (yes – you need to wait until it cools before you rub it or do any die cutting or anything – it WILL smear while it’s still warm!!) – I cut it with the large banner die in the Stylish Shapes Die set.

I popped the sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a double-loop Linen Thread bow and adhered it to the end of the banner with a Glue Dot.

To finish things off, I added some Rustic Metallic Adhesive-backed Dots and the card front was done!

For the inside of the card, I adhered another full size piece of the Texture Chic Specialty DSP with Liquid Glue.  Then, on a Basic White panel, I stamped the flower images from Season of Chic in Petal Pink (outlines) and stamped-off-once Petal Pink (fill).  I added some splatters in Soft Succulent – stamping a couple of times without re-inking.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and into the card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more of the Season of Chic flowers and splatters on the front…

…and more of the Texture Chic Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Go To Greetings set is aptly named – it has all the sentiments we need most often as crafters – in a variety of sizes and fonts!!

And, the Season of Chic bundle is really a cool set – it covers so many…well….seasons!!  And the gorgeous Texture of Chic Specialty DSP is a perfectly beautiful, eclectic mix of designs.

I hope you like!
