Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I pulled out the Humble Home bundle and the Peaceful Evergreens bundle to make today’s woodsy thank you card! Have a look-see:
And – here’s our sketch!
I started with some brand new Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP – available 7 Jan 2025 in the Jan-Apr 2025 Mini Catalog – that I matted on Pecan Pie cardstock for the card front.
I stamped the Humble Home sentiment in Cajun Craze in corner of a Basic Beige strip – then matted it on Pecan Pie and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Then I got to making houses using the stamps in the Humble Home stamp set and the bundled Humble Home Builder Punch! I stamped them all on Basic Beige cardstock.
House 1:
– House: stamped-off-once Cajun Craze with a Mossy Meadow roof (punched)
– Windows: Pecan Pie ink – punched and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals
– Door: Mossy Meadow – fussy cut and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals
– Heart – punched from Cajun Craze and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals
House #2:
– House: stamped-off-once Mossy Meadow with a Pecan Pie roof (punched)
– Windows: Pecan Pie ink – punched and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals
– Door: Cajun Craze – fussy cut and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals
– Heart – punched from Cajun Craze and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals
House #3:
– House: stamped-off-once Pecan Pie with a Pecan Pie roof (punched)
– Windows: Pecan Pie ink – punched and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals
– Door: Pecan Pie – fussy cut and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals
– Wreath – stamped in Mossy Meadow, colored with Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Marker. Fussy cut and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals
With all the houses made and decorated, I used the dies in the Peaceful Evergreens set to cut out three Mossy Meadow trees and two Old Olive trees. Note: Peaceful Evergreens is on the Last Chance List so…be sure to pick it up ASAPly if you don’t have it! 😉
I adhered one tall tree to the left side of the panel with a little Liquid Glue. I adhered the first house, the middle tree in the back, and the right-most house with Liquid Glue. The “front” house is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals – as are the three die cut trees in the front. Note: those needed little, tiny pieces of Dimensionals to adhere.
I added a few Transparent Glass Dots and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped the house on a Basic Beige panel in stamped-off-once Mossy Meadow and the roof in Pecan Pie ink. Then I added the Humble Home sentiment in Cajun Craze. I stamped the “front” Peaceful Evergreens pine tree in Old Olive ink. Then I punched out a house from a sticky note and used it as a mask. I placed it over the stamped house and then stamped the Peaceful Evergreens tree twice “behind” the house. Then I picked up the mask to find my house nestled in the woods!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Basic Beige card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got a couple Peaceful Evergreens trees in Old Olive on the front…
…and a little more Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I love that the Humble Home stamp set and Humble Home Builder Punch are carrying over (into the Online Store), don’t you? It’s NOT just for Christmas, is it?! 😎 BUT – the Peaceful Evergreens….is NOT carrying over – it’s in the Last Chance sale and only available while the remaining supplies last. You’re not going to want to NOT have these great die cut trees in your stash! AND – I know you can’t hardly WAIT to get your hands on a pack – or three! – of the new Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP! It. Is. WUNNERMUS!!
I hope you like!
