Good morning and happy Fri-YAY! It’s been one of those weeks where I am forgetting what day it is – but…I DID check the calendar and today IS Friday! So – I hope you have a great one – and have something fun planned for the weekend!
If part of your plans include getting in your craft room – maybe you’ll make this one! It’s a clean and easy card – featuring tons of embossed texture and the Pop-Up Petals bundle flowers! Take a look-see:
I got the idea for this one from this week’s Paper Players challenge!
This one is ALL about the embossing!
I started by embossing a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock in the Beautiful Patterns 3D Embossing Folder and adhering it to the front of my Basic White card base using Liquid Glue.
Next up, I embossed a 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock in the Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing Folder. I matted it on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the matted panel to the card front.
For the sentiment, I stamped a Pop-Up Petals sentiment in Secret Sea ink on a 2 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock. I embossed the panel in the Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing Folder (this should be back in stock around 27 April) .
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Basic White and then popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Pop-Up Petals floral image in Mossy Meadow ink. Using the flower petal fill image, I stamped the flowers in Pretty in Pink and the flower centers in Pecan Pie ink. I colored the leaves with the Light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend.
I stamped the vase in Secret Sea ink and three butterflies in Mossy Meadow ink (I colored them with the Light Pretty in Pink Stampin’ Blend). Then I cut everything out with their coordinating dies in the Pop-Up Petals die set.
I popped the vase and flowers on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered all the butterflies with Liquid Glue. Then I tied a bow from two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it with a Glue Dot – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped another Pop-Up Petals sentiment in Secret Sea on a Basic White panel. Then I stamped and colored some butterflies.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got Pop-Up Petals butterflies on the front…
…and I stamped and colored the flowers on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Y’all know that clean-and-simple isn’t really in my wheelhouse but…I think this one came out pretty good! I love all the embossed texture – it adds a lot of interest to all that blank white space!! And the Pop-Up Petals set is very cool – it has all the images AND all the sentiments to make your pretty projects!!
