Stampin’ UP! Wood Grain Layers of Beauty Thank You Card

Happy happy Hawwmp Day, y’all!  Hope your week is going well!

Today’s card goes back to a beautiful bundle from the 2025-2026 Annual Catalog – the Layers of Beauty Bundle with its pretty masks!  But I couldn’t resist using some new goodies, too – like the Online Exclusive Wood Grain Textures DSP and Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper!  Take a look-see:

And the Just Us Girls challenge is what promoted me to pull out this bundle with the masks!

I love how versatile the Wood Grain Wonders DSP is – it works on masculine cards – like this one – or on more feminine ones like this card today!

I started by adhering a piece of Early Espresso Wood Grain Wonders DSP on the front of my Early Espresso card base using Liquid Glue.

I embossed a 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ panel of the “tan” Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper in the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder.  Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the panel to the front of the card base.

On a piece of Crumb Cake paper from the Wood Grain Wonders DSP, I stamped the large floral from Layers of Beauty in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

Using the masks from the bundle and a Small Blending Brush – I added the color to the image.

– Mask 1: Light coat of Peach Pie on the roses – and Blueberry Bushel for the small flowers.  Tip: I used a sticky note to keep from getting blue on the large roses.

– Mask 2: Daffodil Delight on the roses – and Blueberry Bushel for the small flowers.

– Mask 3: Light Peach Pie

– Mask 4: Granny Apple Green

– Mask 5: Garden Green

When it was all colored – I cut it out with the coordinating Layers of Beauty die and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock, I stamped the Layers of Beauty sentiment in Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with the white Basics WOW Embossing Powder and set it with the Heat Tool.

When cool, I cut out the sentiment with scissors and adhered the two pieces to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Faux Bronze Pentagons and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a Layers of Beauty sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink on another panel of the Crumb Cake Wood Grain Wonders DSP.  In the corner, I stamped a small floral from the Layers of Beauty set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Using a Light Daffodil Delight and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend, I very lightly colored the image.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Early Espresso card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the small Layers of Beauty image stamped and colored on the front…

…and more of the Crumb Cake Wood Grain Wonders DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I really like this Layers of Beauty image – and the masks in the set make it so easy to color it perfectly!  Stamping and coloring it on the new Wood Grain Wonders DSP makes it a little more subdued and soft – I love it!  Embossing the Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper adds one more layer of wonderfulness to that stunning paper!

Stampin’ Up! has some exciting changes coming in the new catalog!

Price Increases Coming

Stampin’ Up! is committed to providing high-quality paper crafting products and a great overall experience—without compromising the quality that Stampin’ Up! is known for.  At the same time, they carefully consider costs and other important factors.  To do this, they regularly review our pricing based on the cost of doing business, global exchange rates, rising supplier costs, and market comparisons.

Due to higher production costs, please expect price increases in the following product categories:

– Select Stampin’ Cut & Emboss product

– Heat Tool

– Cutting & Scoring Blades Multipacks

– Select Coloring Tools

– Storage

– Select Adhesives

– Select Paper products including Envelopes, Basic White Notecards & Envelopes, and Masking Paper

– Designer Series Paper

– Classic Stampin’ Ink Pads and Refills

– Stampin’ Blends

– Select Embellishments, Twines, and Linen Thread

– In addition, Paper Pumpkin subscriptions will also see an upcoming price increase.

We not been given details yet on the specific price increases for the catalog items, we’ll see what we see when we get our hands on the new catalog later this month.  If you’ve been considering purchasing anything on the list, be sure to order before the current catalog ends to get the lower pricing. 😎

Changes to the Upcoming Catalog Timelines

Starting in May, Stampin’ Up! is refreshing the way they share products in print, with a new, streamlined catalog strategy designed to make shopping from their catalogs easier and more intuitive.  Instead of an annual catalog and multiple minis, they are moving to three beautifully designed catalogs per year—each one complete, current, and easy to use on its own.  No more overlapping catalogs!

Each catalog will introduce new products alongside a selection of customer-favorite staples (core products)—such as stamps, ink, paper, tools, and adhesives—bringing the feel of a mini catalog and an annual catalog together in one place.  This balanced approach creates an easy-to-shop print experience, all within a catalog released every four months:

– January–April

– May–August

– September–December

These seasonal catalogs are designed to put products front and center, making it easy for you to browse, discover, and shop by product category.

I’ll be getting to see the new May-August 2026 Catalog SOON (like…next week when I attend OnStage out in California) and I can’t wait to see the new catalogs moving forward.  I think this new streamlined approach is going to be a really good thing!

New Magnetic Ink Pads – and a peek at the new 2026-2028 In Colors!

Beginning in May 2026, Stampin’ Up! will introduce new felt ink pads in a magnetic, stackable case design.

– In 2026, only the new In Colors will be offered in the new magnetic felt pads.

– In 2027, all ink colors will transition to the new magnetic felt pad as part of a planned color revamp, and the current pad style will be phased out.

Importantly, existing ink pads will remain usable throughout this transition—there is no immediate need to replace what you already own. Please be aware, however, that once the transition takes place, the old ink pad design will only be available while supplies last.

The photo above is an early peek at the new 2026-2028 In Colors!  And they look beautiful!!  The NEW Magnetic Ink Pads in the NEW 2026-2028 In Colors will be available to order 5 May 2026!

Check out the new In Colors!

– Crisp Cantaloupe
– Barely Blush
– Golden Glow
– Peaceful Pine
– Hydrangea Hue

Aren’t they so pretty?!  I’m looking forward to getting to preorder these – SOON! – so I can show them to you “in person”!!

When

Whenever we bring the children in – they get a come-in-quick-cookie.

There’s no escaping it.

It’s one way to have their undivided attention!

Lining up like good little beggars!

I’m not saying that Addy sometimes tells us she has to go out – when she doesn’t – just so she can COME IN.

And get a cookie.  For doing no more than go out – look around – come in!

But – she totally does that!
