Stampin’ UP! Nature’s Symphony Secret Slider Card for the SU Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop

Good morning everyone! Welcome to this month’s Fun Fold Blog Hop for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!  We’ve got a talented line-up and…I think you’re going to like what you see!  This is a once-a-month hop and…all our cards will be fun folds!!  How cool is that?!?

I saw a cool fun fold out on the interwebs – it’s called a Secret Slider card – and I thought it was so cool that I wanted to give it a go!  I decorated mine with sentiments and foliage from the Nature’s Symphony bundle plus pretty Nature Walk DSP and some Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper!  Take a look-see:

The card that I saw – and borrowed the measurements from! – was made by Connie over at Simply Simple Stamping!!

I did a quick video on how to make this card –  which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started with a 5 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Secret Sea cardstock that I scored at 2 3/4″ and 6 3/4″.  I folded both score lines in – like a gate card.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere panels of Nature Walk DSP to the front panels and the inside panel.

To make the slider, I scored a 3 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock at 3/8″ on the short side.

I stamped a small leaf image from Nature’s Symphony twice in Secret Sea ink, without re-inking, in the corner of a 3 1/4″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I stamped a Nature’s Symphony sentiment in Pecan Pie ink – and then adhered the panel to the slider.

I laid a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the 3/8″ section on the left side of the slider and put the slider in place inside the card.  Then I laid the larger front panel down – to adhere to the Tear & Tape.  The video will show you how this is done!

Then I placed Tear & Tape on the top edges of the inside of the opposite short panel.  I closed the left side of the card base – and then closed the right panel  – “capturing” the slider.  Again – the video is the best way to see how to do this!

To decorate the front, I started by using two Glue Dots – just at the bottom – to adhere a Large Gold Hoop to the front panel of the card base.

Then, using the large foliage die in the Nature’s Symphony set, I  cut out one leaf from Nature Walk DSP and one from Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper.  I adhered both of them to the panel with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped a Nature’s Symphony sentiment in Pecan Pie ink.  I cut out the sentiment with the second-from-smallest Stylish Shapes circle die.

Using Stampin’ Seal+, I adhered a loopy bow of Secret Sea 3/8″ Bordered Open Weave Ribbon to the back of the sentiment.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment – with the ribbon – to the card front.  Then I added seven Faux Bronze Hexagons.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the whole thing to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Nature’s Symphony leaves stamped twice (without re-inking) in Secret Sea ink on the front…

…and more of the Nature Walk DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Isn’t this the coolest fold?  It reminds me a LOT of the gift card holder I made this past Christmas – which I loved!  Decorated with the wunnermus Nature’s Symphony foliage and equally amazeballs Nature Walk DSP and Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper – it’s a super fun way to tell someone thank you, don’t you think?!
