Happy Monday, y’all! Most Monday’s are sorta…meh! But – I’ve got a massage today – a 2 HOUR massage! – and I am VERY much looking forward to it! I hope I can stay awake – I hate to miss any of it by sleeping thru it and…I’m pretty sure I snore…and then SNORT myself awake! LOL🤷♀️
Today’s card features three bug-friends sitting around having a little picnic. They’re from the Cute as a Bug DSP and I added some fun little ‘shrooms and a sentiment from the coordinating Sweet Bugs bundle – to make a quite cute card for a friend! Take a look-see:
This card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge!
I did a quick video on how to make this pretty card – which is posted on Instagram. If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!
I started by cutting down one of the “scene” panels from the Cute as a Bug DSP to 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″. I used my Paper Trimmer to cut off the top and sides of the panel – and NONE from the bottom (where the angle cut would be).
Using a ruler and a pencil, I drew a line from the right edge of the card over to the left side. My goal with the cut was to NOT cut off any of the little ladybug sitting there on the picnic blanket.
Using the Trimmer, I cut off the penciled line – then I adhered the panel to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock.
I used the dies in the Sweet Bugs set to cut out three small Basic Beige mushrooms and three small Pecan Pie mushroom caps. I adhered the caps to the. mushrooms with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Then I adhered the mushrooms to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Sweet Bugs sentiment in Pecan Pie ink and cut it out with my scissors.
I tied a simple bow with two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it to the card front with a little Liquid Glue. Then I used double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment over the bow.
Using the cute little die in the set, I cut out three Petal Pink bugs – which I adhered to the mushrooms and to the sentiment with little dabs of Liquid Glue.
Then I slid a double-stack of Stampin’ Dimensionals up under the end of the sentiment to help support the little dragonfly and the card front was done!
On the inside I stamped a second Sweet Bugs sentiment in Pecan Pie ink on a Basic White panel. In the corner, I stamped the three marching ants in Pecan Pie ink. Then I colored that image with the Light Cajun Craze, Dark Petal Pink, Light Daffodil Delight and Light Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Blackberry Bliss card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the marching ants on the front…
…and some more of the Cute as a Bug DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This remains one of my favorite new products in the Jan-Apr 2026 Mini! The Cute as a Bug DSP is so aptly named – I love all the bugs and fruits and flowers! And even more, I love the way the Sweet Bugs bundle coordinates with the paper – to the point of even die cutting many of those cute bugs and flowers right from the paper! Yeah!
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

It got COLD yesterday – and the wind was blowing a gale!
Which meant – all the plants back inside and the humans bundled back in the covers and caps and insulated gloves.
Cady was thrilled.
And so was Finn!
He spent much of the afternoon on the golf cart – just enjoying the chilly day!
I went out to see if he was ready to come in. After calling five or six times…
…WHAT!? What DO you want, Mom?! I’m busy sniffing all the sniffs in the fresh breeze.
And no – I am NOT cold. Sheesh!
