Stampin’ UP! Nature’s Symphony Walk Reverse Collar Fold Thank You Card with Video

Good morning, y’all!  Hope you’re having a great weekend!

Today’s card is a fun fold – that…I don’t really know the name for.  It looks like a collar-fold but…upside down.  So – let’s say it’s a Reverse Collar Fold, okay? 🤷‍♀️ I made it with the Nature Walk suite goodies – the Nature’s Symphony bundle and the beautiful Nature Walk DSP!  All in some of my favorite colors!  Take a look-see:

I took inspiration for the layout – and the upside down collar! – from the Try a Sketch on Tuesday challenge!

I started by adhering a full card-front size piece of Nature Walk DSP to the front of a Secret Sea card base using Liquid Glue.

Using a Paper Trimmer, and starting in the middle of the short end, I cut from the bottom up to roughly the middle of a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Nature Walk DSP.

Using Liquid Glue around the top and sides of the panel, I adhered it to the card front.

I folded the bottom flaps back on a diagonal – at about half-way between the edge and the cut in the panel.  Tip: no need to measure it – just eye-ball it! 🙂

I used a Glue Dot under each flap to secure them in place.

I used the “board” die in the Nature’s Symphony die set to cut out a Pecan Pie and a Crumb Cake board – and adhered them both with Liquid Glue.

I used the wunnermus foliage die to cut out two big, beautiful leaves from two different pieces of Nature Walk DSP – one from Old Olive-y paper and the other from Crumb Cake-y paper.

I snipped the bottoms of the leaves die cuts to make them a little shorter and then adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using Stampin’ Seal, I adhered a loop-d-loop bow of Secret Sea 3/8″ Bordered Open Weave Ribbon.

On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the Nature’s Symphony sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and cut it out with the next-to-smallest Textured Notes die.

I adhered the sentiment over the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Faux Bronze Pentagons and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped another Nature’s Symphony sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink.  Then I stamped the small leaves image from the stamp set twice in Crumb Cake ink – stamping it twice without re-inking.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Secret Sea card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the small Nature’s Symphony foliage – stamped in Crumb Cake twice without re-inking – on the front…

…and more of the Nature Walk DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  A friend of mine recently said “SU really knocked it out of the park with the Nature Walk suite” and she was SOO right!  It’s been one of my – and y’all’s! – faves since we first saw it!  The Nature’s Symphony bundle – with perfect sentiments and gorgeous foliage – is perfectly complemented by the Nature Walk DSP.  And the colors!  The COLORS!!  Just the best!  And – it’s a great go-to for masculine cards, don’t you think?!

I hope you like!

If you’d like to recreate this card, all the products and card cuts you’ll need are down below! And this is the card I made on yesterday’s Saturday Nite Live YouTube Video.  If you’d like to see it – for the first time or again! – here ’tis!

Note: during the video, we did a little design tweaking and ended up slipping another panel of the Nature Walk DSP into the “collar” – adhering it with Liquid Glue.  And adding some Pecan Pie Earthy Matte Dots.  I LOVE this updated version! 🙂

I think that Addy has a licorice whip – or a strand of spaghetti – for a backbone.

She gets herself all twisty when she sleeps on my lap.

Heck – maybe she doesn’t have any bones at all!

Makes my back hurt just looking at her!!
