‘Sup, y’all!? I hope this last full week before Christmas is going well for you! Other than being cold as a well-digger’s lunch bucket, we’re doing well. Grateful for rolling doors on the barn and plug-in heated water buckets, though, I must say!
Today’s card uses a couple of new stamp sets – the pretty Aspen Grove set and the Boardwalk Fun set. And – there’s some embossing from the new Stone & & Vine 3D Embossing Folder. You can get it all on 6 Jan 2026 in the new Jan-Apr 2026 Mini Catalog! Take a look-see:
I started by embossing a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Old Olive cardstock in the new Stone & Vine 3D Embossing Folder. Then I scraped my Old Olive ink pad lightly over the raised design on the card stock.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the panel to the front of my Old Olive card base.
I placed three Aspen Grove “trunks” on a single acrylic block and stamped the LIGHT side of a 3 1/8″ wide piece of Old Olive Two-Tone cardstock in Early Espresso ink.
Then, using a few single tree trunk images – I filled in the gaps with Early Espresso ink. I tore the top and bottom edges – leaving about a 3 1/8″ x 3 5/8″ panel. Using one arm of an open pair of scissors – I rubbed the two side edges of the paper to rough them up.
I set the tree-stamped panel in place on a 3 1/8″ x 5 3/8 piece of Old Olive Two-Tone cardstock – with its DARK side up – and used it as a guide to stamp the two leaf images from the Aspen Grove set several times in Old Olive ink. I used scissors to rough up all FOUR edges of this larger panel.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the larger two-tone panel to the card front.
I wrapped some Early Espresso Linen Thread three times around the tree-stamped panel – securing it in the back with Glue Dots. Then I popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used two lengths of the Early Espresso Linen Thread to tie a bow around the Linen Thread on the card front.
On the DARK side of a piece of Two-Toned Old Olive cardstock, I stamped a sentiment from the new Boardwalk Fun stamp set in Versamark Ink. I sprinkled it with White Basics WOW Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool.
When it was cool, I cut out the sentiment with a Perennial Postage die and adhered it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added three new Faux Bronze Pentagons (coming soon in the Jan-Apr 2026 Mini Catalog) and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped a second Boardwalk Fun sentiment in Early Espresso ink on a Basic White panel. Across the bottom, I stamped the leaf images from Aspen Grove in full strength and stamped-off-once Old Olive. I used a branch image from the set to make “tree top” branches in Early Espresso ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Old Olive card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Aspen Grove leaves and branches on the front…
…and an Aspen Grove-stamped piece of Old Olive Two-Toned cardstock on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Well – this Aspen Grove stamp set makes me think of the trees around my Mom’s house in Colorado – I’m looking forward to doing a version with the leaves in their Fall colors! I like the sentiments from the Boardwalk Fun set, too! And – isn’t the Stone & Vine 3D Embossing Folder pretty!? I love it with a little darker ink on the embossed portions to pull out the design!!
I hope you like!

Such a pretty card! Love the layering and the torn edges are perfect with the tree images! Poor squirrel (at least I think it’s a squirrel!)…hope that he survived the tug! 🙂
It’s actually the much-abused Mr. Moose! He’s a trooper, for sure! Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂
