Stampin’ Up! Ornamental Country Merry Christmas Card

Good morning and happy happy HAWWWWMP DAY!!  In case you’re counting, today is ONE MONTH from Christmas, y’all!  To get in the mood – we’re watching a classic Christmas movie –  Love Actually.  Did you think I was going to say Die Hard?! 😂  I’ve seen bits, pieces and snippets of it over the years but…never actually watched it from soup to nuts!  Interesting to see all the big names in their quite-a-bit-younger personas!

Today I’ve got another Christmas card for you – and it uses goodies you can get right this second – the Merry Christmas stamp takes front and center – but…gets a big boost from Christmas Greenery and Ornamental Christmas die cuts.  AND – there’s a HUGE sneak peek at something awesome from the Jan-Apr 2026 Mini (available to you on 6 Jan).  Take a look-see:

Stampin' Up! Ornamental Country Merry Christmas Card - Stamps-N-Lingers

The inspiration for this one is from the Just Us Girls Mood Board!

I did a quick video on how to make this pretty card, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started by adhering some Country Woods DSP on Cajun Craze for the card front – and I adhered it right to the front of my Mossy Meadow card base with Liquid Glue.

I pulled out the new – and amaze-balls!! – Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper (from the Jan-Apr 2026 Mini – it’s part of the Nature’s Walk suite!).  I tore a rectangle of the “gold” piece in the pack down to size – and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.

I cut two pine boughs from Mossy Meadow cardstock using the die from the Christmas Greenery Die set – then I cut them down so they were both shorter.  I tucked one under the panel on the card front and adhered the second on top.

Then I tied a bow from two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.

I tore another rectangle – this one from the “tan” paper in the Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper.  On it – at an angle – I stamped the big Merry Christmas sentiment in Cajun Craze ink.  I adhered the sentiment onto the card front with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the dies in the Ornamental Christmas die set, I cut out some stars from the “gold” and the “cream” Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper.  I also cut out some “sparkles” from Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper.

I adhered all the stars and sparkles with Liquid Glue.

Then, I added some brand new Faux Bronze Pentagons (new in the Jan-Apr 2026 Mini and ALSO from the Nature’s Walk suite!) and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped two Ornamental Christmas trees in Mossy Meadow on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I adhered two die cut stars – from the “gold” Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper with Liquid Glue.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Mossy Meadow card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Ornamental Christmas trees on the front…

…and more of the Country Woods DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I know, I know – I used a bunch of un-related things but…don’t they work perfectly together?!  The big sentiment from the Merry Christmas set is one of my faves – and it looks AMAZING on the new Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper!!  Which.  I.  LOVE!  I might as well buy three or twelve more packs soon as I can – it’s heavy and texture-y and feels like handmade paper!! Some foliage from Christmas Greenery and stars, sparkles and trees from Ornamental Christmas….and…boom!

Finn Fan Fix

It rained pretty good yesterday morning – before we even got outside to feed Cady her breaskfast.

Addy wasn’t QUITE sure whether she needed to be scared – there was no thunder but…you can’t be too careful about these things.

So – she did what any little sister would do.

I got you, girl!

Nice to have a big brother!
