Stampin’ UP! CAS Seasonal Tags Happy Christmas Card

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Monday and time to start thinking about the work week!  Our friends left at the crack-of-way-too-early to get across Atlanta before the “real” traffic got going!  Now it’s time to tidy the house back up and get things packed for the retreat!  Whoo-hoo!

Today’s card is perfect for busy people – it’s the PERFECT choice for making multiples, too!  It uses the Seasonal Tags stamp set – and cardstock and ink.  And – your Paper Trimmer!  Take a look-see:

Ha!  Bet you didn’t see THAT coming from ME!! ;). But..it’s pretty, right?!  I was pretty proud of myself for making a TRUE clean-and-simple card! 🙂

The layout is from the Sunday Stamps Challenge!

I started by embossing a frame into my 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock.  Using the score blade of my Paper Trimmer – I scored at 1/4″ and 1/2″ on all four sides of the panel.

I turned the panel over so that the raised side of the score lines was “up” and, in the corner, stamped “Christmas” from the Seasonal Tags set in Mossy Meadow ink.

Above it, I stamped “Happy” in Pretty in Pink.

In the center of the remaining space, I stamped the pretty pine bough from Seasonal Tags in Pecan Pie ink.  Then I stamped it two more times – spacing them evenly on the card front.

Using a Light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend, I lightly added green color to the pine needles on each of the boughs.

I added a few Pretty in Pink 2024-2026 In Color Flat Pearls and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the leaf image from Seasonal Tags in Mossy Meadow ink.  I added a few more Pretty in Pink 2024-2026 In Color Flat Pearls, too.  Cuz they’re pretty.  And I could! 😉

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Thick Basic White Card Base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Seasonal Tags pine bough – in Pecan Pie and Mossy Meadow – on the front.

Et Voila!  This is such a sweet and simple stamp set – but it’s got so many fun images and mix-and-match greeting sentiments!  Really sorta perfect for this time of year – and quick and pretty cards for the season!

Finn Fan Fix

We flew Shaun’s drone again yesterday and…the dogs went out with us.

Addy’s reaction….”I think I can take it” (you may need to click to make the video large…)

Finn fell back to cover the rear – keeping a very close eye on that BIG BUG!!

  1. Amy Koenders

Love, love, love this card! The CAS design is perfect for the holidays, love the colors that you’ve used too! And yep, Addy could definitely take it…but good plan from Finn to be the backup just in case things go sideways. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Finn could have just whacked it with his paw and taken it out – so…Addy felt good about being the front-line-defense!! LOL. Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  2. Lora

The card is very pretty. Very different, I like this.

I enjoyed hearing about the dogs reactions to something new. Sometimes are pets are afraid of these new sounds.

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – they both had very different reactions! :). Thanks very much, Lora! 🙂

  3. Love your scored frame…fantastic!! Your trio of holiday branches is perfect for our “lined up” challenge over at Sunday Stamps!! Thanks for playing along with our “lined up” sketch challenge. Deb Horst, DT #SSC371
