Happy Happy Hawwwmwp Day, y’all! Hope your week is going well – but…if it’s not…rest easy in the knowledge that we’re over the hump and headed into the weekend! Yeah!
Now – if you’ve been following me for a while, you know that my trip to Maui a few years ago made a HUGE impression on me. I love it there – it IS my Happy Place! So – when I saw the new stamp set with that name AND with a beachy theme – I was 100% IN. I used it today to make a clean and simple birthday card. Take a look-see:
This stamp set is the Million Dollar set from Sharon Armstrong – and…I love it! She did a FB post with different ways to color her pretty stamp and…I shamelessly copied this one that reminded me of evenings in my happy place!
I started by stamping the Happy Place stamp set (coming on 3 Sept in the Sept-Dec 2025 Mini Catalog) image on a Basic White panel in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Under it, I stamped “birthday” – also in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Using Stampin’ Blends – I colored the gorgeous, wonderful, amazing sentiment!!
Starting at the top, I colored the sky with the Light Azure Afternoon Stampin’ Blend. Just below – I used the Dark Pool Party Blend.
Then there’ s a layer with the Light Daffodil Delight Blend. All the water is colored with the Light Misty Moonlight Blend.
I remember a sky very like that from Maui….
It is, indeed, my Happy Place.
I mean – so is Costco – but…in a COMPLETELY different way! Picture – if you will….Costco. ON Maui! It’s a real thing!! 🤯🤯😂
I adhered the panel to a Basic Black mat and then to a second, Azure Afternoon mat, using Liquid Glue.
I added five new Hues of Blues Flowers – also in the Sept-Dec 2025 Mini Catalog and available on 3 Sept! – and the card front was done.
On the inside, I adhered a 5/8″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Azure Afternoon Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP to a Basic White panel. It looks a little like water, I think!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals – and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got a little more Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap!
Et Voila! Sharon Armstrong – thank you so much for this stunning stamp set! I just love it! I love the mix-and-match sentiments and…you can bet you’re going to see this one again – using another cool coloring technique! So – when it comes available on 3 Sept – grab it quick, okay!?

Such a cute card! Love that sentiment, it definitely looks like Maui! Poor girl…we had a dog once that hated thunder too. We always knew about an hour before the storm hit that it was coming because she’d curl up in the corner and shake. It was so sad and there was no talking her out of it!
