‘Sup, y’all? Happy Tuesday! Hope your week is going well so far. 🙂
My card today is another Sneak Peek – this one for all my dog AND cat lovers out there! Yep – it’s brand new – available on 3 Sep! – it’s the Pet Love bundle! It’s an Online Exclusive – as is the Gathering Together DSP that makes up the card front. Take a look-see:
I did a quick video on how to make this pretty card, which is posted on Instagram. If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!
I started by adhering four strips – two are 1″ x 2 3/4″ and two at 1″ x 4″ – of Gathering Together DSP (coming on 3 Sept) onto a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Cajun Craze cardstock.
The middle panel – the sentiment – is 1 11/16″ x 2 15/16″ (do NOT be afraid of 16th’s, y’all – that’s just one more little tick mark on your Paper Trimmer!). Count them off if you need to!
On the Basic Beige panel – I stamped the Pet Love sentiment in Cajun Craze ink. On the other side, I stamped the four-paw-print image in Crumb Cake ink. Then I adhered it in place with Liquid Glue.
Using the dies in the Pet Love set, I cut out…
– One bandana from Crushed Curry cardstock
– One bandana knot from Crushed Curry cardstock
– One bandana polka-dot piece from Cajun Craze cardstock
– One tag from Basic Beige cardstock
– A small heart from Cajun Craze cardstock
– Two bones from Basic Beige cardstock
– One fish-bone from Basic Beige cardstock
– One mouse toy from Crumb Cake cardstock
I adhered the polka dot piece to the Crushed Curry bandana with Liquid Glue – then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I adhered the heart to the tag with Liquid Glue – then adhered it to the bandana.
Using a Stampin’ Dimensional – I adhered the Crushed Curry knot onto the bandana – at a bit of a jaunty angle.
Using a Sponge Dauber, I added a little color to one side of the die cut bones – then adhered one to the bandana with Liquid Glue. I slid the second under the tip of the bandana and secured it with Liquid Glue.
I slid the fish bones under the bandana – using Liquid Glue to adhere it – and adhered the mouse toy, also with Liquid Glue! 🙂
I added three new Cajun Craze & Gold Dots (avail 3 Sept as an Online Exclusive) and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the four-paw-prints image in Crumb Cake and three little hearts in Cajun Craze on a Basic Beige panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Basic Beige card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Pet Love paw prints and heart on the front…
…and more of the Gathering Together DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Okay – Pet Love has been moved into my “never get rid of it even when it retires” stash. I LOVE it! I love the sentiments and the stamped images and the die cuts! I LOVE that it covers dogs AND cats! Have I said that I love it?!? And I think that the beautiful Gathering Together DSP is a perfect starting point for all SORTS of projects, don’t you?! I know you’re excited to get BOTH of these great products on 3 Sept! 🙂
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
Well – we FINALLY got the hay bale into Cady’s stall. She had so much left that we had to give her a day or two to clean it up as best she could. And yesterday was the day!
But – we’d decided we needed to change out the giving-up-the-ghost hay ring for one that’s in much better shape – in hopes of keeping her from climbing in it.
Unfortunately, the in-good-shape ring wouldn’t fit thru the stall door. 🤦♀️
So – time to use the swinging stall front option Wayne had built into the stalls.
Unfortunately – Wayne builds to tolerances that would make NASA engineers cry with joy (or despair…) – thus meaning you might have to…get a bigger hammer….
It took tools and a lot of banging… essentially an easy 30 min job (replacing the hay bale) become a wonderful 2 hour adventure.
Pry bars – big hammers – and a few lot of curses later….
The stall wall swung in and we rolled the new ring inside.
From there…just a matter of rolling the new bale in and getting it in the ring. And putting the stall wall back where it belongs!
Hopefully she won’t be climbing into THIS one anytime soon! 🙂

Such a sweet card! Love the fun die cuts and the little paw prints! Man…that does look like quite the job! Hope that it keeps her out of the hay and hope that it lasts forever so that you don’t have to do that again!! 🐴
LOL! THAT would be a minor miracle! Thanks, Amy! 🙂
Mary can I just tell you how very much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card!!!!!! I love everything about it and of course I didn’t order this bundle (yet)
Thank you so much, Karen! I KNOW you’re going to love this one! 🙂
That’s a lot of work. Bless your husband’s heart.
But don’t under estimate horse power. (as y’all well know)
And about the card featured to day, I’m very afraid of 8ths and 16ths.
I’ll get over it, because the card is so cute.
Thank you
LOL – it’s worth counting the little ticks!! Thanks, Mary Katherine! 🙂
This card is so sweet! Hope Cady gave Wayne an extra nuzzle of affection for his labors😉
Nope – she said WHATTHEHECKDAD?!? She’s busy working the bale down – I’m sure she’ll try to squeeze thru the uprights! Cuz she’s a goofus!! Thanks, Judi!
Wayne’s like my spouse – he builds things to LAST. Unfortunately, you don’t need microns of tolerance in every situation!
Exactly! 🙂
