Good morning and happy August! Whoo-hoo! Surely this means we’re in the final HOOTTT days and soon it will be FALL! Speaking of…I got a peek at the new Mini Catalog AND the new Online Exclusives (both coming to you guys in Sept) – and there are some really pretty Fall and Winter goodies that you’re going to want to play with! 🙂
Today’s card is summery and..hopefully!…will make you feel cool and refreshed! It features the Online Exclusive Celebratory Sips suite – with the Cheers & Sips bundle and pretty DSP of the same name! All on a SUPER cool fun fold – called a Double Lower Gate Fold. Take a look-see:
You’ll see this card – along with the other Design Team members’ cards – at this month’s Creative Creases Challenge! 😎. We’re ALWAYS wanting to see pretty fun folds so…I hope hope hope you’ll make one (or three!) and come share them with us! 🙂
I found this one on Lisa Curcio’s site and got the base measurements from her – then…I got busy decorating! 🙂
I started with a 5″ x 10 1/2″ piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock. Using my Paper Trimmer – I did some scoring and cutting!
– On the long side, score at 3 1/2″.
– Stay there – and cut from the top down to the 3″ point.
– Move to the 7″ line and score there.
– Stay there and cut from the top down to the 2″ point.
Then rotate the cardstock and cut out the squares as shown above – from one short end to the 3 1/2″ score line. And then from the other short end to the 7″ score.
Here’s what you’ll have remaining for your card base! Easy peasy! As always – check out the video – a video is worth a thousand words and powerpoint pictures! 😉
Using Liquid Glue – I adhered several pieces of Celebratory Sips DSP to the back panel and to the front and back of each smaller “gate”.
To make the pocket – I used a 3 3/4″ x 4 3/8″ piece of Timid Tiger cardstock. I scored at the 3/8″ mark on both long sides and one short side. Using scissors, I cut on the red lines (below) – to remove some “extra” cardstock.
I used Liquid Gkue to adhere another piece of Celebratory Sips DSP to the front of the pocket. Then, with the second-from-smallest Stylish Shapes circle die, I cut out a half-circle from the middle of the top.
See the video for this next part. Use Tear & Tape to close the pocket and then to adhere it to the middle of the back panel.
I made a tag by punching a ribbon slot at the top of a piece of Basic White cardstock – using one of the punches in the Hole Punch Assortments.
I stamped a Cheers & Sips sentiment in Blackberry Bliss and a rosemary spring in Old Olive.
I ran some Timid Tiger 3/8″ Faux Linen Ribbon thru the hole – secured it with a Glue Dot and tied a Linen Thread bow around it. Boom!
For the front, I fussy cut a tall drink – with a cherry and umbrella – from the Celebratory Sips DSP. I also used the smaller tumbler die in the Cheers & Sips die set to cut out a yellowish tumbler (from one of the rectangle shapes on the DSP).
On the tumbler – I stamped the Cheers & Sips ice cubes image several times in Daffodil Delight and two sentiments (“Cheers” and “to you”) in Blackberry Bliss.
Then I stamped and die cut some Cheers & Sips fruit and garnish on Basic White cardstock!
– Three lemons in Daffodil Delight.
– One orange in Timid Tiger.
– Two mint sprigs in Garden Green – then I used a Blender Pen to “pull” color into the leaves.
– One rosemary sprig in Old Olive.
– Three strawberries in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Then I colored the berries with the Light Strawberry Slush Stampin’ Blend and the tops with the Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker.
I adhered a lemon and one of the mint sprigs to the top of the “iced tea” glass – and then adhered it to the middle gate panel. I clustered another mint sprig, a lemon and two strawberries near the bottom – adhering them with Liquid Glue.
On the front gate – I adhered the fussy cut glass with Liquid Glue. I cut a slit in the stamped & die cut orange and slid it onto the top of the tumbler – securing it – and the rosemary sprig – with Liquid Glue.
Note – in the video, my brain got it’s ducks-in-a-line and I did the orange the “right” way…
…so when you make this card – do like the SECOND version, okay?! 🙂
I adhered the sentiment glass to the card front with Liquid Glue – and slid a lemon and a strawberry up underneath it, while I was at it.
I added three Holographic Resin Dots – and this card was done-ski! 🙂
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Cheers & Sips strawberries on the front…
…and more of the Celebratory Sips DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Oh my – I do LOVE this fun fold! And it’s so easy – that you can dedicate your brain bucket to decorating! It gives you plenty of real estate for showcasing pretty paper – like the Celebratory Sips DSP! And then there’s all the “gates” for adding your fun stuff – like…stamped and die cut Cheers & Sips goodies! I also love the idea of the cool little pocket, don’t you?! Have fun with this “fun fold’! 🙂

BACK-TO-SCHOOL SALES TAX HOLIDAYS COMING UP!

The 2025 back-to-school sales tax holiday season begins this weekend and there are twelve states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Ohio, South Caroling, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia) offering a sales tax holiday for school supplies during the months of July and August. Products that are eligible according to the statute include “items normally used by students in a standard classroom for educational purposes.” Click the table below to open the chart and see what is available and when! 🙂
Please note that you must place your order with Stampin’ Up! DURING the tax holiday period to receive these items tax-free. Also, keep in mind that this is a STATE SALES TAX holiday; the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.

Finn Fan Fix
This ice boot is a LOT easier on ALL parties involved.
In the morning – I put it on her sore leg and groom her – then clean the stall. By the time I’m done – it’s ready to come off and we both go about our days.
In the evening – I put it on her in her stall while she eats. Then we walk the dogs around and… 10-15 min later I go back out and take it off.
Sometimes, I catch her…
…standing INSIDE the hay ring – ice boot on – no doubt wondering why her leg is sore.
I can’t even imagine…. 🤦♀️
