Stampin’ UP! Tractor & Co Sneak Peek Birthday Card

Good morning, y’all!  Are you having a good weekend?  Hope so!

Thanks for your patience last night – between the storms rolling thru and a pretty lame pony – there was a LOT going on all at once!  We did keep power thru it all – it flickered pretty hard a few times but…managed to hang in there.  I appreciate y’all being so understanding as I rushed off of YouTube!

My card today is one last sneak peek of a new product that you’ll be able to get SOON – like…day after tomorrow!  Yep – on 1 July – all the new Online Exclusives that I’ve been teasing you with these past weeks will be AVAILABLE for YOU to order!  Whoo-hoo!  While you’re at it – you MIGHT want to add the cute Tractor & Co bundle.  Cuz…it’s a ton of fun!  Take a look-see:

Stampin' UP! Tractor & Co Sneak Peek Birthday Card - Stamps-N-Lingers

The layout I used was inspired by the Try a Sketch on Tuesday challenge.

I started by using the second-from-largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut a hole in a piece of cardstock to make a mask.  I saved the circle – to use in a minute.

I set my mask in place on my Basic White cardstock panel.  Using a Small Blending Brush, I brushed Darling Duckling into the circle to make a sun.

Then I placed that circle that I cut out over the “sun” – and used two Small Blending Brushes to add a Balmy Blue sky and Old Olive ground.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock I used the stamps in the Tractor & Co set to stamp some farm stuff:

– The tractor body in Pumpkin Pie ink (we’re a Kubota family so….).

– A tractor seat in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

– Three hay bales in Old Olive ink.  Hay is green – straw is yellow.  Just sayin’….

– Three rows of corn stalks in Granny Apple Green.

– Five corn cobs in Darling Duckling.

– One hen in Cajun Craze.

– One large and one small tire in Basic Gray ink.

With the dies in the set – I cut out all the images plus…I cut two Pumpkin Pie fenders (a large and a small), two Pumpkin Pie hub caps, and one Basic White wheel.

I adhered the three hay bales onto the card front with Liquid Glue, letting the left and right bales hang off the edges of the panel.  I trimmed the excess with my Paper Snips and then matted the panel on an Old Olive cardstock for the card front.

On each hay bale, I stamped the “Hay” image from the Tractor & Co set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

To assemble the tractor:

– Liquid Glue to adhere the tires to the tractor body.

– Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the fenders.

– Liquid Glue to add a white wheel to the large tire.

– Liquid Glue to add a Pumpkin Pie hub to both tires.

– Liquid Glue to adhere the seat.

Then it was time to build my little farm!

I adhered two rows of corn stalks with Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered the assembled tractor with Liquid Glue.  The row of corn in front of the tractor is adhered with Dimensionals and Liquid Glue.

I added five corn cobs – all with Liquid Glue.

Finally – I perched my red hen on the back fender with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Tractor & Co sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Basic White panel.  Then I stamped the corn across the bottom in Granny Apple Green and Darling Duckling.  And I couldn’t help it – I had to add that hen again in Cajun Craze!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Pumpkin Pie card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the corn on the front…

…and the little clucker on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Only problem I see with this Tractor & Co bundle is…it’s too much fun making farm stuff!  I mean there’s the tractor – and the hay – and the corn.  But there’s also Christmas trees, some pumpkins and a banner (every good hay ride has a banner or two!).  And there’s the sentiments for birthdays, thinking of you and Christmas, too! I mean – that’s a lot to love!

Finn Fan Fix

Cady has bruised her foot.  I was looking for her thru the camera during the storm last night to be sure she was safely in her shed – and could see her limping.

She was NOT interested in hobbling up to the barn and it took both of us – and a few peppermints! – to persuade her.

Once inside – we were able to do a little doctoring and medicating.  And got her foot wrapped – to keep the medicine in and give her a little padding.

As always – she’s up in her stall – with bedding and rubber mats.

She was eating her hay and moving around the stall when I checked on her last evening.

Hopefully she’ll be feeling some better today.  Some horse aspirin will help.  I hope!

Just LOVE that, Mary! I have absolutely NO NEED for a tractor, but thanks to this card will probably buy it. Wondering if the tractory “stuff” will fit inside the truck. . .

Hope Cady’s foot is better today.

  10. I love this card design! I did it in two color versions, yours, and one with a boho blue sky and an orange (sunset) sun and cherry cobbler tractor. Then I went to town and did an A7 version with a forest background and the little trailer with Christmas trees! I hope Cady is recovered now!
