Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop! Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Celebrate Summer! Be sure to check out everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!
I pulled out a couple of obvious – SUMMERY – choices! A sunburst design from the Full of Life 6″ x 6″ DSP and the beach-ready Notes & Totes Bundle make for a bright note card with a seaside-vibe. Take a look-see:
I used the sketch from this week’s Sketch Saturday challenge for the layout for this card.
I started by selectively cutting down a piece of the Full of Life 6″ x 6″ DSP to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ while centering the starburst. Then I adhered it to the front of my Pretty in Pink card base using Liquid Glue.
I selected another piece of the DSP – matted it on Pretty in Pink cardstock and then to the card front – all with Liquid Glue.
Using the dies in the Notes & Totes die set I cut out some fence boards from Basic White cardstock. I cut the larger boards in half and then used Liquid Glue to “build” a fence.
I adhered the fence to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Now – there’s only ONE problem with the Notes & Totes Bundle. And that is that there are SO many fun dies – and SO many fun things to DO with those dies that…I just kept…making and adding and creating!
– I cut out the tote from a piece of mostly Granny Apple Green Full of Life 6″ x 6″ DSP. Then I stamped the flowers from Notes & Totes all over it in Granny Apple Green ink.
– I tucked the tabs behind the main part of the tote – securing them with Liquid Glue. These tabs would let you build a 3-D tote (treat bag?!) if you cut out TWO of them!
– I used the pocket die in the set to cut out a pocket – and adhered it to the side of the tote with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
– I used the Notes & Totes dies to cut out some Pretty in Pink accessories for the tote and adhered them with Liquid Glue.
Then I adhered the tote to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut out a tumbler from Full of Life 6″ x 6″ DSP and stamped it with the flowers using Pretty in Pink ink. I also cut out a Daffodil Delight starfish and a Petal Pink shell. Using Liquid Glue and some Stampin’ Dimensionals – I adhered them to the bottom corner of the tote.
I stamped the Notes & Totes sentiment in Coastal Cabana ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the little sun image from the set in Lemon Lolly ink – and then cut it out with the second-from-largest Stylish Shapes circle die.
I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
And realized…something was missing….
So – I cut out a Daffodil Delight scarf and stamped it all over with the Lemon Lolly sun – then adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.
I added a few Daffodil Delight Muted Palette Dots and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped the flowers image from Notes & Totes in Pretty in Pink a few times across the bottom of a Basic White panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Pretty in Pink card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Notes & Totes flowers across the front…
…and more of the Full of Life 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Summer on the beach – BOOM! All it needs is a fruity drink and plenty of sunscreen! I love how bright & cheerful the Full of Life 6″ x 6″ DSP is – and this is one of my favorite designs in the pack. Notes & Totes is a really fun bundle to play with – great for card fronts – or little treat bags – table favors – whatever! How many totes – and all the accessories! – can YOU think of with this bundle?!?
I hope you like!
