Stampin’ UP! Cheers & Sips Cheers Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I thought this was a good time to pull out the new Online Exclusive Celebratory Sips suite – with its fun Cheers & Sips bundle and Celebratory Sips DSP!  I used it all to make a card that would work for a special event or a birthday!! :). Take a look-see:

And here’s the sketch we all played with!

I started with two pieces of Celebratory Sips DSP – both matted on Blackberry Bliss cardstock – with the smaller panel adhered to the larger using Liquid Glue.

Using Stampin’ Seal, I adhered a length of Gold Striped 3/8″ Mesh Ribbon (part of the suite) across the card front.  I added a strip of the Celebratory Sips DSP over the top of that with a little Liquid Glue.

Using the dies in the Cheers & Sips set, I cut out two tall glasses – right from the Celebratory Sips DSP.  I LOVE when die sets do that!

I adhered them over the DSP strip using Liquid Glue.

I used Paper Snips to fussy cut the short glass – with the lavender sprig garnish – and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the mint leaves from Cheers & Sips in Old Olive ink.  I used a Blender Pen to “pull” ink from the stamped outline into the middle of the leaves.  I stamped the lemon slice in Daffodil Delight – and used a Blender Pen again.

I used the dies in the set to cut out the leaf and the lemon slice.

I popped the lemon slice onto the edge of the second tall glass with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I fussy cut a few little flowers from the DSP and adhered the two smaller ones with Liquid Glue on the back glass.  Then I added the mint leaves with Liquid Glue.   Finally, I popped the final flower on with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I stamped the Cheers & Sips sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink on a strip of Basic White and snipped the end on an angle.  I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few Holographic Resin Dots and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped TWO little sentiments from Cheers & Sips in Blackberry Bliss on a Basic White panel.  Then I stamped the mint leaves in Old Olive and used the Blender Pen to “pull” the ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Old Olive card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Cheers & Sips lemon slice in Daffodil Delight (and I pulled the ink with the Blender Pen) on the front…

…and more of the Celebratory Sips DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! Well – I love this Celebratory Sips DSP – and I’m a little surprised!  I thought it would be ALL about drinks and stuff and it totally is NOT!  It’s got beautiful florals – and perfect neutral designs.  But it DOES also have the designs that work perfectly with the coordinating Cheers & Sips Bundle – so..it’s got a little sumpin-sumpin for everyone!  Seriously! 🙂
