Stampin’ UP! Impressions Abloom Sneak Peek Easel Fun Fold Card

Good morning, y’all!  Normally this would be my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop but, since I’m still half-a-country away from my craft room, I’m not able to take part today!

Instead – I have a pretty fun fold card that my friend and teammie Rosie Kean kindly made for me!  It’s a super sneak peak at the new Online Exclusive Impressions Abloom bundle (an Online Exclusive coming on 6 May!).  Take a look-see:

I know!  So cute!

Here’s how she made it!

The card base is Smoky Slate – 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored and folded at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″.  That made the easel.

She matted two pieces of light gray wood design paper from the Country Woods DSP on Basic Beige cardstock and adhered them to the two small front panels with Liquid Glue.

Using the oval die in the new Impressions Abloom die set…

…she cut out a Smoky Slate flower pot.

After cutting out the pot, she embossed it in the new Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder (also coming on 6 May!).

Using the dies in the Impressions Abloom set, she cut out 3 stems – 2 double and one single – from Garden Green cardstock.

To sturdy-up the stems for when they’re sticking up above the pot, she cut some 1/16″ wide strips of Window Sheet and used Liquid Glue to adhere the strips to the back of the stems.

There’s a whole bouquet of flowers –  cut using the new Impressions Abloom die set:  1 large flower from new Strawberry Slush cardstock, 2 medium flowers from Pretty in Pink cardstock, 1 large and 1 small  “closed” flower from Fresh Freesia cardstock.

Rosie used a Small Blending Brush to darken the centers of the large Strawberry Slush and the Pretty In Pink medium flowers with Melon Mambo ink and the smaller Fresh Freesia flowers with Blackberry Bliss ink.

She used the Impressions Abloom cutting die AND the embossing die in the set to cut out and emboss one large flower center from Pecan Pie cardstock and did the same to make 2 smaller flower centers from new Darling Duck cardstock.  Then she adhered them to the flowers with Liquid Glue.

She adhered the flowers to the die cut stems using Liquid Glue.  Then, with Liquid Glue near the bottom of the stems – she adhered them to the BACK of the die cut and embossed flower pot.

With all the flowers in place, she adhered the whole, beautiful potted bouquet to the front easel panel – and the card front was done!

The inside is a Basic White panel, matted on Basic Beige and then adhered to the inside of the card base.

The sentiment (which is ALSO the easel stop!), from the Impressions Abloom set – is stamped in Smoky Slate ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock – and then cut out with the largest banner die from the Stylish Shapes Die set.

She popped the sentiment onto the back panel of the card – placed so that it would “stop” the easel right where she wanted it to show off that pot to full advantage!

The Basic White Medium Envelope got an Impressions Abloom flower in Pretty in Pink on the front…

…and more of the Country Woods DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How excited are you to get the new Impressions Abloom bundle?!  VERY, I’d think!  There’s so much you can do with this set – you’ve seen two really pretty cards using it in just the past couple weeks!  I love that Rosie used it to make a beautiful pop-up easel card!  Thanks, Rosie! And it’s so cool that the Country Woods DSP is carrying over – I love it so much!

As we get close to the end of the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog (ordering ends on 5 May 2025!) – we’re ALSO getting ready to bid adieu to the 2023-2025 In Colors.

Historically – as we get close to the end of a catalog – the basics of the retiring In Colors sell out pretty fast – and that is already happening!  The list below has definitely shrunk in size! So – this might be a good time to make sure you have plenty of YOUR faves on hand!

Sitting (or…laying down) nicely and being quiet (THAT was the hard part for that little one on the left!) while the man picks up the hospital bed!

What good fur-children!
