Stampin’ Up! Memorable Blooms You Are Awesome Card

Good morning, y’all – I hope your week is going well so far!

My card today is a quick and easy one – using the Memorable Blooms bundle and some masking with pretty pink ink blending!  It would be a great card to have on hand to send a word of encouragement or congratulations!!  Take a look-see:

I pulled inspiration for this card from the Inspo List over at Festive Friday this week.  I used pink, ribbon, glossy dots, ink blending and Word of Encouragement!

I did a quick video on how to make this cool card, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started by cutting the Memorable Blooms hexagon from a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of cardstock to make a mask.  Note – this is the exact same size as my card front – and makes your masking/blending really simple!

I secured my 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White cardstock to my work surface with a couple of Sticky Notes – then placed my “mask” over the top – aligning all the edges – and securing it with more Sticky Notes.

Using a Small Blending Brush, I added Pretty in Pink ink in the middle of the hexagon opening.  Then I added Melon Mambo around the edges.  When I had the color as deep as I wanted it – I picked up the mask.

I stamped the large and lovely Memorable Blooms image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto the card front.  Then I adhered the panel to a Pretty in Pink mat with Liquid Glue.

Using the bullet-end of a Pretty in Pink Stampin’ Write Marker – I added faux stitches around the edge of the hexagon.

I used Glue Dots to adhere a Pretty in Pink 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon loop-de-loop bow to the card front.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Memorable Blooms sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I cut out the sentiment with a Stylish Shapes banner and adhered it to the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some pink Low-Profile Dots and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used the Small Blending Brush to add a little Pretty in Pink color to the bottom corner of a Basic White panel.  Over the top, I stamped a small Memorable Blooms image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got some Pretty in Pink blending and the small Memorable Blooms image on the front…

…and I stamped the large blooms on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Memorable Blooms bundle is quite lovely and so versatile!  Use the pretty die cuts or don’t – every card will be a winner!  I love how the pink blending turned out – and the black blooms just pop, don’t they?!

Finn Fan Fix

I got my house cleaned yesterday – with a new-to-us crew.

They’re a little different from Miss Sonya – the two ladies are scared of dogs.

Even Finn.

AND – they don’t bring treats. 🥺

So it started off rough for him and – since he had to stay with me or outside while they were here – it was…sort of a bummer day for him.

At one point I invited him back into the house for a drink and to spend some time with me in my office.

He WAS thirsty – but staying in the office wasn’t a popular option.

So – I did what any mother would do.  I offered him a bribe.  I gave him a kennel bone.

He took it politely and went off to eat it.

I thought.

Until I saw him walking around sort of aimlessly.

Guess he was trying to get to his bedroom – where he’s SUPPOSED to go with that kind of bone!

This look….Mom’s nice and I love her and all but…she’s maybe not the brightest bulb in the chandelier….

Such a pretty card! Love the stenciled background, perfect for that floral image! Poor Finn…he just wants everyone to love him and he doesn’t understand when they don’t. But yay for housekeepers!! 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

It wasn’t a good day for him. No way to ‘splain it to him!🤷‍♀️. Thanks, Amy!

  2. Karen

Oh, the expression on Finn’s face says it all. I swear he is part human! Your card is so beautifully clean and simple. This set is growing on me…BUT your cards do release that inner “I want/need” child in me 🙂 Have a blessed day, my friend.

    • stampsnlingers

I’m saying a BIG part human!! I’m glad that you liked the card – always happy to release the inner child!! Thanks, my friend! 🙂

  3. Sandra Warthen

That is the saddest face I’ve seen in a long time.

  4. Pink, black and white are such a fabulous combo. The octagonal shape in the background is such a great change from the usual circles, rectangles and the black silhouette stamping pops right off the pink background. Fabulous card. So glad you shared this with us at Festive Friday this week
