Stampin’ Up! Terrific Toadstool Gardens Sneak Peek Double Easel for Creative Creases #97

Good morning and happy Friday, y’all!  Hope you’ve had a good week and are ready for a weekend!  It’s like…almost the last weekend before Christmas!

Okay – that’s a BIT of an exxageration, but…not by far!

My card today is a sneak peek (from the upcoming Jan-Apr 2025 Mini and the Jan-Feb 2024 Sale-a-Bration catalogs – available for ordering on 7 Jan 2025!) AND a fun fold!  It’s a double easel card and I picked the fold so that I could use the new Terrific Toadstools bundle and the coordinating Toadstool Gardens 6″ x 6″ DSP.  The sentiment I picked will ‘splain it all.  So – take a look-see:

See what I mean.  “POPPIN’ Up”!??!  😎

You’ll see this card – along with the other Design Team members’ cards –  at this week’s Creative Creases Challenge!  We’re all about the fun folds and I hope you’ll come and join us – we would LOVE for you to share YOUR fun fold creations with us!

The easel mechanism is a 4″ x 9 3/4″ piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock, scored and folded at 5 1/4″ and 7 1/2″.

On the larger front panel – I adhered some new Toadstool Gardens 6″ x 6″ DSP using Liquid Glue.  Y’all – this is just the most fun paper…

…AND it’s going to be available for FREE with a $60 order (before shipping & tax) during the Jan-Feb 2025 Sale-A-Bration starting on 7 Jan 2025!  Boom!

To make the “toadstool arrangement” – I cut another piece of the Toadstool Gardens 6″ x 6″ DSP (2 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ – with the leaves) to go on the front easel panel – but I didn’t adhere it right away.

I used the fourth-from-smallest Deckled Circle Die (sadly no longer available – but you can use a Stylish Shapes circle instead if you don’t have these dies!) to cut a circle from the same pattern of the DSP that I’d used on the back panel – and adhered it to the small DSP panel with Liquid Glue.

I used the Terrific Toadstool Punch to cut out a bunch of Early Espresso stems.  Note – the taller toadstools actually have TWO stems in order to make them tall!

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped a few toadstools in Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Fresh Freesia.  Then I punched them, and a couple more right from the Toadstool Gardens DSP, out with the bundled punch.  It’s a cool punch – it cuts slightly inside the stamped image so that you won’t have a white border! 🙂

To assemble the collage – I stamped the “ground” image in Gray Granite ink on a piece of the Toadstool Gardens DSP (same design as the back panel and Deckled Circle) and fussy cut it.  Then I adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added the toadstools and their stems – with Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a simple bow with two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.

The Terrific Toadstool sentiment is stamped in Granny Apple Green ink on a strip of Basic White cardstock.  Then I snipped angled ends and adhered it over the “ground” with Dimensionals.

At that point – I used Liquid Glue to adhere the whole decorated panel to the small front panel of the Granny Apple Green easel.  Then I used more Liquid Glue to adhere the entire easel mechanism to the front of the Melon Mambo card base.

Finally, I added some sequins from the new Adhesive-backed Purple Sequins (these are ANOTHER free gift you can select during Sale-a-Bration – with a $60 order!) – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the stem image from Terrific Toadstools in Early Espresso ink a couple three times across the bottom of a Basic White panel. I added the little ‘stools in Melon Mambo!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Early Espresso and Melon Mambo toadstools on the front…

…and I picked another design of the Toadstool Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP for the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Okay.  Truth.  When I first saw this Terrific Toadstool bundle I sort of thought….hmmm.  Meh!  But – then….when I saw that I could ALSO get the totes adorbs Toadstool Gardens 6″ x 6″ DSP for…FREE!…and it would work so perfectly with the bundle…I took a chance and got it.  And boy, I am SO glad I did cuz it is TOO STINKIN’ CUTE!!  Now – also truth – never EVER eat any mushroom/toadstools that look like these but…they’re perfect on a card.  Especially like this double-easel fun fold card where they will – literally! – POP UP to say HI! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix

So – Wayne left Finn at home when he came to pick me up from the airport.  He figured it would be better for the reunion to happen at home – versus in the truck outside the airport.

He was right!

The cinematography sorta goes to heck about half way thru but…I think you’ll understand why…

Oh – sound on (he’s pretty chatty) and click the full-screen icon in the corner….

Guess he was happy to see me!
