Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Love & Spring Sneak Peek Baby Card for the Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

So – I got home yesterday just after lunch time – yeah!  I’ve been gone for a hot minute so there’s some catching up to be done – and jet lagging to be overcoming!  But – I wanted to at least IDENTIFY the saddle – if not climb right back in – and do a card for today’s hop.  Which meant that I needed a pretty card – and quick! I reached for some designer paper and…our Ephemera Packs!  In this case – I dove into my Jan-Apr 2025 Mini Catalog Pre-order and surfaced with three packs!  The Celebrate Love, Spring Celebrations and Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Packs.  And – since I’ve been eyeballing it from the first time I saw it – I opened my pack of Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP – and…made a new baby card for you.  Take a peek!

And – here’s our sketch!

And – I played along with the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge this week! I got Layers – Die Cut – Patterned Paper (down the left side)

I started by picking the right pattern for my baby card from the new Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP.  This was the hardest part of the card – there are TOO MANY perfect plaids in this pack (that, along with the new Ephemera Packs and much more – you’ll be able to get on 7 Jan!).

Once I’d made my selection, I adhered a panel of the DSP to a Boho Blue panel for the card front.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere three lacy die cuts from the Celebrate Love Mix & Match Ephemera Pack to the card front.

I added a branch from the Spring Celebrations Mix & Match Ephemera Pack with Liquid Glue – and a bird’s nest with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered a die cut sentiment label from the new Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack.

I tied a bow from two lengths of Balmy Blue twine from the Baker’s Twine Three Color Pack and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.

I pulled three butterfly die cuts from the Spring Celebrations Mix & Match Ephemera Pack and adhered all three of them with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Note: the small butterfly over the bow is adhered with a double-stack of Dimensionals.

Tip – lightly curl the wings of the butterflies before you adhere them – makes them look more realistic!

I added some small, white Riverside Irregular Pearls and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used Liquid Glue to adhere another sentiment die cut from Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack – and a lacy heart from Celebrate Love Mix & Match Ephemera Pack! Across the bottom, I adhered another strip of the Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Boho Blue mat and then to the inside of my Pecan Pie card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got another Spring Celebrations Mix & Match Ephemera Pack butterfly adhered with Liquid Glue on the front…

…and more of that wunnermus Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
