Happy Happy Hawmmp Day, y’all! I think – if I’m doing my math right – that when you get this post – I should be sitting at the terminal in Denver readying myself to fly home! Yeah! I am so ready to hug a certain Man. Oh, and…Wayne, too! 😎
My card today is one that came from the Retreat swap cards – from Amy Koenders – and it uses some of my favorite things. Like the Decorative Trees bundle, Take a Bow DSP and the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder. Take a look-see:
I started by embossing a Crumb Cake panel in the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder and then adhering it to the front of my Crumb Cake card base using Liquid Glue.
Next up – I used Liquid Glue to adhere six 3/4″ x 3-3/4″ pieces of the Take a Bow DSP – don’t you just love the traditional Christmas colors of this DSP – specially paired with Crumb Cake!?
Next up is a tag from the Merriest Trees Die set – cut from Basic White cardstock. I used the little hole-protector die to cut a Crumb Cake “protector” and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.
I ran a length of Real Red & White Baker’s Twine thru the little perfectly-protected hole at the top and tied a bow.
And then I popped the tag onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using the Decorative Trees dies – I cut a solid tree from Garden Green cardstock. I put some Adhesive Sheets on the back of a piece of Granny Apple Green Festive Glimmer Paper and then cut out a “plaid” tree.
Using the Adhesive Sheets – I adhered the detailed tree die to the solid tree.
I put Stampin’ Dimensionals near the center of the layered die cut and used them to adhere the tree to the card front.
Using little dabs of Liquid Glue, I adhered some tiny red Glimmer Paper bows – cut using the bow die in Decorative Trees die set.
On a piece of Real Red cardstock, I stamped the Decorative Trees sentiment in Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool.
When the embossing was cool, I used a Stylish Shapes banner die to cut out the sentiment. Then I slid it under the popped-up tree (see why I put the Dimensionals in the middle?!) and adhered it with Liquid Glue on the left side and a Dimensional on the right.
I added a Garden Green Transparent Adhesive-backed Dot and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped another Decorative Trees sentiment in Garden Green and added s strip of Take a Bow DSP across the bottom of a Basic White panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Crumb Cake card base and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Decorative Trees tree on the front in Garden Green…
And – if I’d had Wayne send me an extra piece of the Take A Bow DSP – I’d have put it on the envelope flap. But I didn’t – so he didn’t – so…I didn’t! 🤷♀️
Et Voila! The Decorative Trees bundle is one of my faves and I really hope that you have it! And the Take a Bow DSP – which is carrying over!! – is simply the perfect epitome of “Christmas”, isn’t it?! Love it!
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
I’m still in Colorado – Finn’s still in Georgia! So..no new pictures till I get home.
Here’s a blast-from-the-past to hold you over! 🙂
From 16 Oct 2017:
The dog is apparently easier to train than the Dad.
Not MY plate! Dad’s plate.
Cheetos – are meant to be shared?
I’m sitting right HERE and watching you feed the dog!
Oh – you didn’t want me to feed the dog??
I am SHOCKED that Finn continues to beg – errr “request with intense concentration” – from his Dad.
Guess I need to read-up on clicker-training Dads…

Hey Janice – sorry about that! I uploaded it last night at the hotel in Denver and I guess it didn’t “take”. I’ve fixed it now! Glad you liked the card! Thanks! 🙂

Hi Mary!
Help, please! When I attempted to download the Merriest Decorative Trees Christmas card just now, it didn’t come up. The Alpine Painted Lavender Triple Z fun fold birthday card tutorial pops up instead. Are you sure the tutorial uploaded okay?
Happy Stampin’,
