Stampin’ Up! Decorative Trees Take a Bow Postage for Christmas

Happy Monday, y’all!  It’s back to the workweek, right?!  And – we’re OFFICIALLY inside 2 months till Christmas!  Yikes!

On the off chance – I know, it’s not likely to be true, but….JIC! – you don’t have ALL your Christmas cards done, today’s may give you another idea!  It uses one of my fave bundles – the Decorative Trees bundle!  Plus – get in on some traditional Christmas colors from the Take a Bow 6″ x 6″ DSP and some Crumb Cake cardstock – embossed in the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the current Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge.

I did a quick video on how to make these fun cards, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started by embossing a Crumb Cake panel in the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder and adhering it to the front of a Crumb Cake card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the next-to-largest Perennial Postage die, I cut two Take a Bow 6″ x 6″ DSP rectangles and adhered both of them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I inked part (top two words) of the Decorative Trees sentiment in Granny Apple Green cardstock and stamped it on Basic White cardstock.  I repeated that – inking just the bottom part of the sentiment in Granny Apple Green.  I cut them both out with the small Perennial Postage die and popped them onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the large, solid tree die from the set to cut out a Garden Green piece of the Take a Bow 6″ x 6″ DSP.

I added some Adhesive Sheets to the back of a piece of Basic White cardstock and then cut out the snowflake detailed tree die.  Using the Adhesive Sheets – I adhered the white die cut to the solid tree die cut.

I cut out a little star from a piece of Gold Foil Sheet – there’s a die for that in the set! – and adhered it to the top of the tree with a little Liquid Glue.

Then I popped the completed tree to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a simple bow with two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it to the tree with a little Liquid Glue and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Decorative Tree sentiment in Granny Apple Green on a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I stamped the tree outline image in Granny Apple Green.  Then I added the boughs in Garden Green and the star in Daffodil Delight inks.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Crumb Cake card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Decorative Trees tree on the front…

…and more of the Take a Bow 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Red – Green – Crumb Cake.  What a classic Christmas color palette – and it’s easy to do with the Take a Bow 6″ x 6″ DSP.  And – in that pack you’ll get TWELVE sheets of EACH of the two-sided patterns – so…there’s plenty for multiples and decorated envelopes and everything!  Yay! 🙂  I am really loving the Decorative Trees bundle – so many pretty trees for you to make and decorate for the holidays!

Such a cute card! Love the layering, perfect way to do that sentiment too! Poor Finn…sleeping away and then interrupted by the flashes. It’s tough being a celebrity! 😂
