Stampin’ UP! Purple Playful Ghosts Halloween Card

Good morning and happy Friday!  Hope y’all are having a great week and have something fun on the horizon for the weekend! 🙂

It’s October so – that seems like a good time for another fun Halloween card.  I don’t make many of them, but when I DO – I like them to be fun and…playful! ;). So – the Playful Ghosts set (an Online Exclusive) seemed like a good place to start!  I made it in fun Halloween colors – purple is the new…well.  Take a look-see:

Stampin' UP! Purple Playful Ghosts Halloween Card - Stamps-N-Lingers

I started by stamping the cloud and the little bat image from Playful Ghosts all over a Basic Black panel in Whisper White Craft Ink.  When it was dry, I adhered it to a Lemon Lime Twist mat.  Note: I changed up my dimensions a bit so I’d have a wider frame!

Using the largest Stylish Shapes circle die, I cut out a Lemon Lime Twist circle – and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut out the next-to-largest Stylish Shapes circle from a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock and cut the large Stylish Shapes banner from a piece of Gorgeous Grape Regals 6″ x 6″ DSP.

I cut the banner in half.

Using the Crushed Curry circle as a guide – I adhered the two halves of the banner to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On the Crushed Curry circle, I stamped the Playful Ghosts ghost in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  I colored the broomstick with the Pecan Pie Stampin’ Write Marker and the broom bristles with the Wild Wheat Stampin’ Blends.  In the corner I stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink.

I stamped the ghost again in Tuxedo Black on Basic White cardstock and fussy cut him using Paper Snips.

I colored the ghost:

– The cape with the Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends

– The hat with the Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Lemon Lime Twist and Basic Black Stampin’ Write Markers

– The buckle on the hat and the ghost’s tongue with the Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Marker.

– The little bit of broom stick that you can see between his hands with the Pecan Pie Stampin’ Write Marker.

I popped the fussy cut ghost onto the Crushed Curry circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals – aligning him over the stamped image.

I added a few Purple Fine Shimmer Gems and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Playful Ghosts sentiment in Gorgeous Grape and the bats image in Lemon Lime Twist on a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Lemon Lime Twist mat and into my Gorgeous Grape card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got Lemon Lime Twist bats on the front…

…and more Gorgeous Grape Regals 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Okay – this little ghostie pretending to be a witchie?  WAAY too cute!  And he – she?!? – is obviously having a blast!  I DO wonder if even a Playful Ghost WOULD – or even COULD!? – actually ride a broom.  Seems…redundant to me but…what do I really know about ghosts?!  I’m really liking the Gorgeous Grape on this one, too, aren’t you?!
