Good morning and welcome back from the weekend! Well, as expected – it was back to 91 and humid yesterday. First day of Autumn?! Bah! Mother Nature said…hold my nectar and watch this! 🤦♀️
My card today channels cool winter vibes – with some Sentimental Christmas DSP and a few Peaceful Evergreens. But – I took it in a non-Holiday direction with a sentiment from the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.
I did a quick video on how to make this one, which is posted on Instagram. If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!
I started by adhering a piece of Sentimental Christmas DSP to a Pecan Pie mat using Liquid Glue.
Next, I took a piece of Basic White cardstock and tore the top to make a softer edge.
In the corner, I stamped the Wonderful Thoughts sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink. Then I adhered the panel to the bottom of the card front – leaving about a 5/8″ gap to the bottom of the Pecan Pie mat.
In that gap, I added a length of Pretty Peacock & Gold 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon – securing it in the back with Glue Dots. I tied a short length of the ribbon around it, tying an overhand knot and trimming the ends to create a faux bow.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the medium tree from the Peaceful Evergreens stamp set – once in Petal Pink and once in Pretty Peacock. I used the coordinating die in the bundled Peaceful Evergreens die set to cut out both trees.
I adhered the trees to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added a few clear gems from the Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-backed Dots and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped those Peaceful Evergreens trees in Petal Pink and Pretty Peacock in the corner of a Basic White panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Peaceful Evergreens on the front…
…and more of the Sentimental Christmas DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! So…this card really highlights the versatility of the Sentimental Christmas DSP – check out all the designs and think how you could use them for NON-Christmas projects like I’ve done here! And Peaceful Evergreens – being an image-only set – lends itself beautifully to winter projects of all kinds – just pair it with a great sentiment from a set like the Wonderful Thoughts set! Boom!
I hope you like!

We MAY have to let him take three – he’s been conducting auditions and…they’re all just so GOOD!! :). Thanks, Amy! 🙂
