Happy Sunday! Hope your weekend is going well – and that you haven’t melted OR been blown away! If you’re in the path of Beryl…keep your head on a swivel – she’s been pretty capricious! I saw that even though she’s a TS right now – the Gulf is HOT and…there’s a pretty strong chance she’ll gain enough strength to be a hurricane again when she beryl’s (see what I did there?!) into the Texas coast! STAY SAFE, y’all!
My card today channels a cool forest – welcome, right now, yes?? – and uses a new Online Exclusive – the Forest Forest Bundle – which has the stamp set, dies and builder masks! And – a little of the solidly favorite Country Woods DSP! Take a look-see:
This layout was inspired by the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge.
First, I embossed a piece of Petal Pink cardstock in the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the front of my Petal Pink card base using Liquid Glue.
Next, I adhered some Country Woods DSP on a Pool Party mat for the card front.
Next, I cut a strip of the wood-board design in the DSP – it’s as wide as the three planks in the design. You could use any three adjacent “planks” that you like – totally up to you!
I used my Paper Snips to cut banner ends in each “plank” and then adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I cut the next-to-largest Stylish Shapes die cut circle from a piece of Graceful Greenery Vellum Specialty DSP and adhered it with a bit of Liquid Glue.
With some Stampin’ Seal+, I adhered a loop-d-doop of Petal Pink 1/4″ Diagonal Trim.
On another piece of Country Woods DSP…
…I used the three two-tree masks from the Frosted Forest Masks set and used Small Blending Brushes to color them: Old Olive (Mask A), Mossy Meadow (Mask B) and Shaded Spruce (Mask C).
I cut out the trees with the dies from the Frosted Forest Die set and then used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere them over the ribbon on the card front.
I stamped the Frosted Forest sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White cardstock and cut it out with the small Stylish Shapes banner die.
Then I adhered it to the card front – tucking the left end under the small tree.
I added five Petal Pink Foiled Gems and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped the second Frosted Forest sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel. Over the top, I stamped the bird image five times in Pool Party ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pool Party mat and into my Petal Pink card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got five Frosted Forest birds on the front…
…and more Country Woods DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Oh boy-sie! I do love this Frosted Forest bundle! With the dies in the set, you can cut out the stamped trees and make your forest scenes. But – add trees with the bundled Frosted Forest masks – and you’ve just opened up even MORE possibilities!! Boom!
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
So – the other night we spent WAAAY too much time in the barn – like…until 11:40 or so. Listening to fireworks.
And trying to keep Cady calm. Well – calm-ISH!
As she got more and more wound up, I decided to do a little Clinton Anderson groundwork with her – just in the barn aisle. It’s designed to let her move – but…to respond to cues that she knows – and get her from “left-brain” (whack-a-do) into “right brain” (semi-sane pony who is thinking). It adheres to the idea that they can only do one thing at a time (usually) and…if they have something ELSE to think about, they…sort of forget what they were worried about. Like…re-booting their brain.
Once we were both sweaty (okay – SHE was damp, I was SWEATY!) I hosed her and she played in it – which was a good sign.
So – put her in the stall – by this time we’d closed all the doors – and…set up the “Watch Station”.
Wayne went and got my computer so I could work and then, being no dummy, kicked back for a snooze.
Finn – ALSO no dummy – slept in the tackroom – lights and air conditioning running!
I started to see signs that she was wondering why it was so BRIGHT so…I turned off the lights.
Looks pretty wild in the Ring Camera!! 👻
As bright as the computer was – I couldn’t see her with my eyeballs so…I kept checking the Ring camera.
Finally – FINALLY! – she cocked a hip and…settled all the way. And we headed to the house at WAY past my bedtime!
I know – you’re envious cuz…having horses is FUN and GLAMOROUS, right?!? Bwahahahahaha!!
But – I love her and wouldn’t NOT have her for anything! 🥰

Such a pretty card! Love the woodgrain background and your pine trees are awesome! Poor pony, looks like everyone else slept okay…well, except you and her! 🙂
That sounds about right! It was a long night, for sure! Thanks, Amy! 🙂
I caught the end of your video yesterday. such a lovely card.
I’m sorry fur the fireworks. Glad Cady was able to finally settle in.
Yes, me, too – we were afraid she was going to hurt herself! Thanks, Nel! 🙂
Very nice card. I love the earthy ruggedness. Very masculine but can be given to a girl, too. Thank you for celebrating with us at Tuesday Morning Sketches.
Yes! It’s good for anyone, I think! Thanks so much, Melissa! 🙂
