Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove Naturally Gilded for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a pretty color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I decided to pull out another new Online Exclusive for you to take a gander at today – the new Naturally Gilded Specialty Paper!  And, since I think one of the designs in the paper looks like a grove of trees…I also used the Grassy Grove bundle (available right now in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog!).  With these, I made a pretty thank you card – that would also be a great masculine card!  Take a look-see:

And – here’s the colors we had to choose from!

I started by doing some Blender Brushing on the silver-embossed design from the Naturally Gilded Specialty Paper (coming on 1 March to customers or…available right NOW in a Starter Kit! 😉)…

I used Mango Melody near the bottom and middle of a panel of the paper – with it darker on the bottom.  Then I added Balmy Blue at the top – you can see there’s some greenish hues in there – which I kind of love!  Once I was done, I used a paper towel to wipe the ink from the silver embossing.

I stamped the grass image from the Grassy Grove stamp set twice across the panel in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  When it was dry on the non-embossed portions, I carefully wiped it from the embossed sections.  Note:  be easy here – you don’t want to swipe the black ink out onto the paper.  Ask me how I know! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat to make the card front.

Using the edge die in the Grove die set, I cut the top of a piece of Basic Black cardstock and then embossed it in the new cross-hatch folder that is one of the THREE folders in the new Basic 3D Embossing Folder set – also coming on 1 March as an Online Exclusive! All three folders are really fun – the one I used here is the center folder in the picture below. 🙂

I used Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the embossed piece to the bottom of the card front.

I cut one mama and two baby deer from Basic Black, using the Grove dies, and adhered them with Liquid Glue, tucking their feet under the popped up “ground”.

On a piece of Basic Black, I stamped the Grassy Grove sentiment in Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with white Embossing Powder and then heated it up with the Heat Tool.

When the embossing powder was cool, I cut it out with the oval die in the All That die set.

I adhered a length of Balmy Blue/White 1/2″ Variegated Ribbon across the panel using Stampin’ Seal.  Then I popped the sentiment over it with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut out four leaves from Old Olive cardstock using the dies in the Grove set and then slid them under the sentiment – adhering them with Liquid Glue.

Finally, I added some Crumb Cake Enamel Dot Essentials and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the pine trees from the Grassy Grove set in Old Olive on a Basic White panel and added the grasses image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Then I adhered a few of the Crumb Cake Enamel Dot Essentials.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Old Olive card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card front was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Grassy Grove trees and grasses on the front…

…and more of the Gilded Naturals Specialty Paper – Blender Brushed! – on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How pretty is the Gilded Naturals Specialty Paper, y’all!?  I love that you get two of each sheet – in Gold, Copper and Silver embossing – and that the three colors each have a different, organic design!  I think it worked perfectly as a sunset scene!  The die cut silhouettes and sentiment from the Grassy Grove bundle are perfect against it, don’t you think?!
