Stampin’ Up! Brightest Glow and Snow Crystal Christmas for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a great theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I seem to be on a bit of a snowflake kick this week.  Sorry.  Not sorry!  It’s WINTER!!  Hello?!? And for TODAY, at least, I “HAD” to feature SNOW! ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

We’ve got a cool background stamp called the Snow Crystal stamp and I pulled it out – then needed a sentiment, so…out came the Christmas Lights set.  And – some smaller snowflakes were required so…the Brightest Glow set – plus its bundled Labels Aglow dies were the perfect solution!  Take a look-see:

And – guess what our theme was?!

I also played along with the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge this week! I went across the top row!

I started by stamping the smaller snowflakes from the Christmas Lights stamp set (this is retiring with the catalog – along with the dies that coordinate so…get it quick if you don’t have it already!) in Orchid Oasis ink all over the front of an Orchid Oasis card base.

In the top corner of the card base, I used a dab of Liquid Glue to adhere a Wonderful Snowflakes embellishment (also carrying over – YEAH!)!

Next, I inked the Snow Crystal stamp (this one is carrying over!!) in Versamark ink and stamped it in the corner of a Basic White panel.  I sprinkled it with Silver Metallic Embossing Powder and set it with my Heat Tool.

On the other side of the panel, I stamped the small Christmas Lights snowflakes a few times in Versamark and sprinkled them with Clear Embossing Powder – which I heat set with the Heat Tool.

I added Pool Party Ink to the middle of the panel using a Blending Brush.  Note: I sort of made a diagonal “swath” across the panel.  Then I added Orchid Oasis with the Blending Brush in the opposite corners.  I wiped the ink off the embossed images and they “popped” right out!  In case you’re wondering – this is called the Emboss Resist technique – and it’s totally COOL!

Using Stampin’ Seal +, I adhered the panel to a piece of white glimmer paper from the Real Red & White Glimmer Paper pack – then I popped the matted panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used some Stampin’ Seal to adhere a loop-de-loop of Pool Party 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Brightest Glow sentiment in Orchid Oasis and cut it out with the label die in the bundled Labels Aglow die set.  Note:  this stamp and die set are both carrying over.  BUT – the BUNDLED price that saves you 10% is NOT.  So…if you don’t have it – and you like to save money…then you’ll want to get it before the catalog ends on 3 Jan!  Just sayin. 😉

In the corner of the sentiment, I stamped the small snowflakes from Christmas Lights a couple times in Pool Party ink – then I popped it over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few NEW Iridescent Pastel Gems in Balmy Blue here and there – and the card front was done!  You’ll be able to pick these beauties up when the Jan – Apr 2023 Mini goes live in January.  😎

On the inside, I stamped another sentiment from Brightest Glow in Orchid Oasis on a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I stamped the Snow Crystal image in stamped-off-once (aka Second Generation!) Pool Party.  Then I added one more Balmy Blue Iridescent Pastel Gem.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Basic White mat and then into the Orchid Oasis card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Snow Crystal image in second generation Pool Party on the front…

…and more of the Christmas Lights snowflake on the envelope flap in full-strength Pool Party ink.

Et Voila  Snow snow snowflakes!!  I’m tickled that the Snow Crystal stamp is carrying over – it adds such a wintry feel with just ONE stamp!  And the Brightest Glow Stamp and Labels Aglow Dies is the perfect Christmas sentiment set – so be sure you pick it up while you can still get the bundled price, okay?  Sadly – Christmas Lights and its coordinating Twinkling Lights Dies are leaving us – so…today’s the start of the Last Chance Sale.  Which means it’s your…you know.  Last Chance to get those! 😳😳😳

I hope you like!
