Stampin’ Up! Santa’s Express Delivery with Memories & More Christmas Card

Good morning and – might I add! – happy happy HAWWWMP DAY!!  Whoo-hoo!!

Do y’all like Memories & More Card Packs?  For making cards?  It took me a little while to realize the treasure trove that the card packs really are – and how great they are for making cards in addition to their “intended” use of scrapbooking and memory keeping!  If you haven’t grabbed a pack – I’d urge you to take a look.  And – the one I’ve used for today’s Christmas card – the Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack – is a great place to start!  I added some elements from the Santa’s Delivery bundle and Santa Express DSP.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Sunday Stamps sketch this week!

Wait till you see how much of this fun card come from the Memories & More pack! 😉

I started by cutting down one of the pre-printed acetate sheets in the pack to match the Shaded Spruce card front.  I used little dabs of Liquid Glue behind the printed words – and a little extra in the middle (where it’s hidden by the rest of the elements of the card front) to adhere it to the Shaded Spruce panel.

I adhered the layered panel to a Granny Apple Green mat to make the card front.

Next, I cut a piece of Santa Express DSP and used a Basic Borders die (the angled die) to cut a banner end.  Then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I adhered another piece of the Santa Express DSP – matted on Granny Apple Green – at the top.

Using the die in the Santa’s Train die set – I cut out Santa’s engine from the Santa Express DSP.

I popped the die cut train onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I popped out a wooden sentiment element – from the Memories & More Card Pack – colored it with the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I used the Santa’s Train dies to cut out the three “smoke puffs” from white glimmer paper (from the Red & White 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Pack) and popped them in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finally, I cut three Poppy Parade bows using the Santa’s Train dies and popped them onto the top DSP strip with Dimensionals.

I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the middle of each bow and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used one of the fun stickers from the Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack across the bottom of a Basic White panel.  Then I added a sentiment from Santa’s Delivery in Granny Apple Green.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and into my Poppy Parade card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got a fun sentiment from Santa’s Delivery in Granny Apple Green on the front…

…and more of the Santa’s Express DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This is just one of the four pre-printed acetate sheets that you’ll find in the Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack – and there’s a bunch of fun stickers – and two whole sheets of wooden sentiments and embellishments.  And that’s before you even get to the actual “cards” in the pack!  And the coordinating Santa’s Delivery stamp set and bundled Santa’s Train die set is the perfect accompaniment!!  And – did you catch how I used the Basic Borders die to make a banner end?! 😉

Finn Fan Fix

I really have no words for this series of pictures.

He was sitting on the golf cart – observing the construction goings-on at the garden shed.

And I got lucky.

He has the most expressive face – and paws!!

So stinkin’ cute. 😉
