Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest Hello for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a fun sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

It felt like a good day for a Fall card – the weather here has been wonderful and the leaves are FALLING like crazy!  So – out came the Hello Harvest stamp set, with its bundled Rustic Pumpkins dies.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our sketch!

I also took inspiration for the color palette from the Sunday Stamps color challenge!

I started with a polka-dot pattern from the Neutrals 6″ x 6″ DSP in Gray Granite that I adhered to the front of a Gray Granite card base with Liquid Glue.

Next – using the third-from-largest of the wider Stitched Rectangles Dies, I cut out a piece of striped Gray Granite Neutrals 6″ x 6″ DSP.

In two corners of the die cut rectangle, I stamped the floral spray in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

Next, I colored the image using the Light blends in Pumpkin Pie (flower middles and smallest flowers), Gray Granite (leaves), Cajun Craze (flowers) and Balmy Blue (dandelions).

I matted the panel on Basic White and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On another piece of Basic White, I stamped the large pumpkin and the small flower from Hello Harvest in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I cut them out with the matching die in the Rustic Harvest die set.

I colored the pumpkin with Light & Dark Pumpkin Pie and Light Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends and the flowers in Cajun Craze or Balmy Blue – and Pumpkin Pie.

I adhered the pumpkin to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On another piece of Basic White, I stamped the Rustic Harvest sentiment in Balmy Blue and cut it out with the third-from-largest of the more narrow dies in the Stitched Rectangles Die set.

I popped the sentiment on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered a couple of Balmy Blue Rustic Pumpkins die cut “tendrils” and then adhered the die cut flowers with Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional.

A few Amber Gems and the card was done!

On the inside, I stamped the Hello Harvest floral spray in Tuxedo Black and colored it the same as I’d done on the front.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic White mat and into the Gray Granite card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Hello Harvest floral on the front…

…and more of the Gray Granite Neutrals 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Hello Harvest is simply Fall-on-a-Card, don’t you think?!  With the Rustic Pumpkins die set, it’s a sure-fire winner!

Beautiful Fall card-the Balmy Blue really works well with other colors…..kinda reaches out and grabs your attention.

  8. Now, this is an elegant card! Love the gray with the pumpkin and blue. I would never have thought to use that combination. Nor would I have thought stripes and dots would go together. So much for MY stylish opinion. I love everything you did with this card,

It took me a minute to come up with the colors, too! I’m glad that you like it – thanks so much, Julie! 🙂

So beautiful, Mary – why oh why did I let this set pass? Your colors are perfect, of course, and the background grays really set everything off! Thanks so much for playing at Sunday Stamps!
