Stampin’ Up! Bragworthy Flowering Fields For a Friend with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy Friday!  We’re headed into the weekend – with good weather on the horizon, my Stampin’ Up! OnTour Event tomorrow and plantlings waiting to be planted!  AND – I placed my Pre-Order from the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog this morning and am SOOO excited to get my new goodies!  Life is feeling pretty darned bright and cheerful right now! 🎉🎉🎉

And, speaking of bright & cheerful, check out this fun card – made to send to a good friend! – featuring the Bragworthy sentiment set and some pretty Flowering Fields DSP.  And – the Ornate Frames die set (retiring – on sale now – and only available while supplies last in the Last Chance sale!) brings some cool “architectural interest) on the front.  Take a look-see:

If you were able to join me yesterday for my Facebook Live – I appreciate you spending part of your week with me!  If not, but you’d like to see how to make this card – and get some tips along the way! – here’s the replay on YouTube! 🙂

The layout for this card was inspired by the sketch challenge over at The Paper Players this week.

And the colors are from the Sunday Stamps color challenge!

I started by adhering a full size panel of Poppy Parade paper from the Flowering Fields DSP to the front of a Mango Melody card base using Liquid Glue.

Next up, I matted a piece of Mango Melody paper – from the same set! – on Granny Apple Green cardstock and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut three Ornate Frames dies (Retiring soon – save 20% right now, but…only while supplies last!) from some Granny Apple Green cardstock.  Using the coordinating die in the Ornate Frames dies, I cut three pieces of the Mango Melody Flowering Fields DSP.

I added some “faux stitches” to the three DSP die cuts using my Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker, then adhered them to the three Granny Apple Green die cuts with Liquid Glue.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the three matted frame pieces – spacing them equally across the card front.

I stamped the Bragworthy sentiment in Poppy Parade on a piece of Basic White and cut it with the Ornate Frames die.  I used the Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker to add “faux stitches” here, too.

I colored a length of 1/4″ Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon using my Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend.  Then I tied a small simple bow and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

I used double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment over the top of the bow.

I colored three Rhinestone Basic Jewels with my Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend and added them to the card front.  And that was it!

On the inside, I stamped a second Bragworthy sentiment in Poppy Parade on a Basic White panel.  Then I added some small Bumble Bee Resin Stars in place of the stamped stars!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and then into the Mango Melody card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got some little stars from the Your Biggest Fan stamp set in Mango Melody on the front…

…and more Poppy Parade Flowering Fields DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  If you’ve missed out so far on the Ornate Frames die set – now would be a super time to snap it up!  With a 20% savings – it’s an even better deal for a great “tool” than usual!  And the Bragworthy stamp set is full of very fun sentiments with lots of uses!  I particularly like the color palette of this card – strongly informed by the gorgeous Flowering Fields DSP.

I hope you like!

Just a reminder that, starting today,  the minimum shipping charge increases by about a $1.00, so – from $6.95 to $7.95—or by one percentage point (from 10% to 11% of the total order amount) —whichever is greater.

Finn Fan Fix

Finny’s obedience skill is a little…situational.

A little…dependent.

As in…what he does when you ask him to do it sometimes DEPENDS on whether that’s in alignment with what HE wanted to do. 🤷‍♀️

One thing he’s really pretty consistently good at is loading up on the golf cart. And he also tends to stay there (unless it’s in the sun then he’ll mosey off to find some shade.  But…who wouldn’t?!)

But – we use that to our advantage when we’re rolling around in heavy equipment and need him safely out of our way.

“Finn – load up – get on the golf cart!”  And – 9.9 times out of 10 he whirls around and trots to the golf cart.

“Ma’am, yes, ma’am!”

Okay – I added that part in.
