Stampin’ Up! All Dressed to Impress for The Paper Players

Good Sunday morning, y’all!  Hope you’re staying warm this weekend – we’re back into a winter-y cycle.  Cold enough for covers again.  Bleh.  But…no snow.  No “-” in front of the temperature so…there’s that! 🙂

Be sure to take advantage of my Weight-loss Milestone Ordering Special, okay?  It’s only around thru Tuesday so you need to get hopping!  Let my loss be your gain!

If you were able to join me last night for my Facebook Live video, I sure appreciate you spending part of your weekend with me!  If not, but you’d like to watch the instant-ish replay, here ’tis!

The inspiration for this card set comes from this week’s Paper Players theme challenge and the Dressed To Impress bundle and gorgeous Best Dressed DSP was the perfect choice!  Take a look-see:

And here’s this week’s Paper Players challenge!  I hope you’ll join us and show us your projects! 🙂

Now – admittedly, the card holder isn’t particularly clean-and-simple!  THAT comes into play with the 6 notecards and envelopes tucked inside!! 🙂

The holder is easy to make – it’s cut from two pieces of the Best Dressed DSP for the “body” of the purse/tote.  Some Old Olive (Mossy Meadow in the video and picture below) cardstock makes up the ties and the pocket on the outside.

All of which have dies in the All Dressed Up Dies set!!

I put the tote together with Tear & Tape Adhesive – and used that as well to secure the handles to the bag.  I used some Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the pocket on the outside of the bag – then “filled” it with a bottle of perfume fussy cut from one of the DSP designs, and a stamped-and-die-cut lipstick (in Mint Macaron and Tuxedo Black).  Tip – you need to cut the lipstick down so that it fits into the pocket!

I cut one of the smaller buttons from some Gold Foil and stuck it on with Liquid Glue.  The sentiment, from Dressed to Impress, is stamped in Lovely Lipstick on Whisper White, cut with the label die from All Dressed Up and adhered with more Liquid Glue.

A Glue Dot adheres a Petal Pink Best Dressed Tassel and a little bow tied from Mint Macaron 1/8″ Sheer Linen Ribbon.

I made a total of 6 little note cards and envelopes to go inside this sweet little tote.  Some I made using the Best Dressed 3″ x 3″  Note Cards & Envelopes.  I ran out of the notecards, so I also created some with 3″ x 6″ Whisper White pieces, scored and folded at 3″.  Fortunately, I had more envelopes – love those scalloped flaps!

The trick to making a “set” – to me – is to keep the colors cohesive from card to card.  So….all the sentiments were stamped in Lovely Lipstick.  Cards were coordinated with their envelopes….  I used Mint Macaron “dots” on all the cards.   And kept the color palette simple…

Did you know that you can approximate Purple Posy ink with stamped-off-once Highland Heather?  No?  Well…now you do! 🙂

I made two of each “color” of note cards – you saw the Petal Pink set up above.  There’s also a Daffodil Delight set…

And the aforementioned Purple Posy…. aka stamped-off-once Highland Heather!

Let’s talk sentiments, shall we?  All the note card fronts have a sentiment from the Dressed to Impress stamp set.  On the inside – I used sentiments from the Sending You Thoughts set in the Sale-A-Bration Flyer (this is a FREE-with-$50-order level gift!).

If you look closely, you’ll see I decorated each of the envelope flaps with a Gold Foil die cut button from the All Dressed Up Dies – adhered with Liquid Glue.  Atop the button is a tiny bow from Mint Macaron 1/8″ Sheer Linen Ribbon – adhered with a Glue Dot!

Now – in case it’s not obvious – these are not suitable for mailing as they sit.  Right?  You’d need to put them in an A2 size envelope (or some USPS-approved envelope) to mail them.  Or stick them inside a gift box.  Or keep them in your purse to randomly hand out to folks who deserve a little thank you! 🙂

Et Voila!  Wouldn’t this little All Dressed Up purse – filled with 6 Dressed to Impress note cards and envelopes great for Thank You’s, Congratulations and Birthday! – make an awesome gift?  I hope you like!

If you want to recreate this set – all the Stampin’ Up! products you need are listed down below.  Hint:  if you buy the Dressed To Impress Bundle, the Best Dressed DSP and the Mint Macaron 1/8″ Sheer Linen Ribbon – you’ll reach the Level 1 reward threshold for Sale-A-Bration and you can “complete” your set with the free Sending You Thoughts stamp set!!

Now – before you reach for your ink and papers, check out what our amazing team has created to inspire you this week:
