Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a color challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

When I saw the color challenge I pretty quickly decided on the Forever Blossoms stamp set to help me out!  This is a gorgeous bundle that’s part of the Parisian Blossoms Suite.  And I thought it would be perfect with our colors!  Take a look-see:

…and here’s the color challenge we all worked with!

I started with a piece of Rococo Rose paper from the 2019-2021 In Color DSP that I matted on Soft Suede for the card front.

Next up, I embossed a Very Vanilla panel in the new Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder – also in the Parisian Blossoms Suite and available on 3 Jan!  Then I cut it with a Stitched Rectangle Die.

For the art, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the big floral image from Forever Blossoms in Soft Suede on Crumb Cake.  Leaving the stamp in place, I inked it with Versamark Ink and stamped it right on top of the Soft Suede image.  Then I sprinkled it with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool.

I colored the flowers with my Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends Combo – and brushed them with Clear Wink of Stella.

I adhered the panel to the embossed Very Vanilla panel with Liquid Glue.  Next, I wrapped some Linen Thread twice around the stacked panels – securing it in the back with Glue Dots.  I popped the whole thing onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from Forever Blossoms, is stamped in Soft Suede on Crumb Cake using my Stamparatus.  I cut it with a Stitched Rectangle Die.  At the same time, I cut the same size die from a piece of Very Vanilla that had been embossed in the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder.

I adhered the two die cuts together with Liquid Glue and popped them onto the card front with Dimensionals.  Then I added a simple bow tied with two pieces of Linen Thread and a few Champagne Rhinestone Jewels – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used my Stamparatus to add a second sentiment from Forever Blossoms in Soft Suede on a Very Vanilla panel.  I inked the small flower from Forever Blossoms in Rococo Rose and stamped it off twice on scrap paper – then added it over the sentiment without re-inking.  I repeated that process for a total of two flowers!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Soft Suede mat and into my Crumb Cake card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more Forever Blossoms flowers on the front in Rococo Rose – I stamped it three times without re-inking to create a multi-hued design…

…and I added some more of the 2019-2020 In Color DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Forever Blossoms is SUCH an elegant stamp set – and it’s bundled in the 2020 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog with the gorgeous Cherry Blossoms Dies!  Lots of goodness coming your way on 3 Jan – so get those wish lists filled out!  I hope you like!

  5. This is absolutely beautiful Mary 🙂 Love how you put them on an angle, I always have trouble doing that with my OCD, but I really like the way it looks.
